I actually wrote a mini contrast earlier in one of my post.

When telling a lie/hide the truth, there are three questions to ask.

1. Is it necessary? - In Dev's case, no. It was not necessary to tell every single lie. You could almost say he lied with his every breath. For Sonakshi, at that point of life, it was necessary to protect her family whose entire retirement income was gone and they were all in debt.

2. If I tell a lie now, will the problem go away/or I will have time to fix the problem before the lie is revealed? - In Dev's case, he could not have fixed the infertility of Sonakshi nor he could magically put baby where there was none before. At least he was pretty sure that Sonakshi was barren, otherwise he'd have revealed the truth and offer support for treatment to Sonakshi.

On the other hand, Sonakshi had 7 years to make herself powerful enough to be able to face Dev Dixit and his flexing of power on other people and also be less vulnerable to him. Also, once a relationship breaks at such a sour note who the heck has loyalty to her ex? Dev didn't even have loyalty to his current wife.

3. How my lie will benefit others? - Well, Sonakshi never claimed that she lied for someone else's well-being. She lied (by omission, not even looking at a loved one's eyes and blatantly lie) to protect herself and her family from a possible incident like Ranveer whose livelihood Dev took away for not dancing to his sister's tunes.

But the entire time Dev was lying, breaking promises, he kept saying that it was for someone else's good when all along he was doing it so he won't have to take the hard step and stand up for his wife against his mother.

Yet Dev's numerous lies were justified and fussed over, but Sonakshi's desperate situation was never once considered even though the moment she could tell the truth to the only person who matters to her, she did.

Excellent. So he is Kenye West douchebag to Taylor Swift Sonakshi. He does not have the capability to get an award so he decided to snatch it. But are we really surprised?

When Ishwari went to get the prize he stupidly lost (Sonakshi), didn't he waltz in to grab it even though he did absolutely nothing worthwhile to deserve it?

When Sonakshi kept on sacrificing her wishes, her dreams, her respect for his family; didn't he blatantly discredited her efforts by claiming that she was faking to be a good wife?

When he was the one who continued to lie and break his relationships, wasn't he the one who refused to see how his lies and lack of spine was the reason for him not being able to hold onto Sonakshi and put all the blame on Ishwari and Sona?

Then why are we surprised now? Remember I said that smirk was a clear giveaway that he will make a nuisance of himself?

I am sure Kenye West thought he was cool too whereas the whole world saw him as a douchebag.

You see, I actually thought the level Dev had fallen 7 years ago, he can't fall anymore. But he surprised me and fell even more. He is truly an overachiever. When he sets a target, he really exceeds them. 😆

About Sonakshi, before she is a barren married woman who was a doctor. Now she is a mother who is divorced and a successful business woman.

Now you might be wondering why I wrote the sentence like that.

Well you see, for a woman, her value starts with a fertile womb. So to gauge her market value, kindly follow the following flow chart.

A Woman's Value

Yes ---------------- Achievements ----------------- No

If Fertile Womb - Yes, Married - Yes, Rich family - Yes and Achievements - Yes = Market Value highest.

^^ cause the actor is hot? And women are generally very forgiving, we were brought up like that that we still hope and expect people to redeem themselves. We want to support defend try to put this character or person in a frame according to our best knowledge so in our head atleast he's never ooc or bad per se. When world don't agree to your effed up defenses? Let's agree to disagree, lol hate basher, oh it's a show. I used to baffles as well, now I laugh. To each to her own.

It's called in-built hot guy sympathy syndrome which is more powerful than just a guy sympathy syndrome which is more powerful than a just a girl sympathy syndrome which is more powerful than a hot girl sympathy syndrome.

The hotter a guy gets, the more he gets sympathy.

On the other hand, the hotter a girl gets, the less she gets sympathy.

It's curious phenomenon where a hot guy's tears and pain attracts more people to justify/coddle/wipe his tears/fix his pain/be understanding and a hot girl's tears and pain attracts occasional "oh you poor thing" followed by what she did wrong to deserve it and what she can do next time to avoid it.

I will stick by an abused and ill-treated person any day, be it man or woman.
