I don't think people here were not looking down upon the choice of being a housewife but they were showing displeasure over the fact that TM suggested that Shraddha's failing career should be replaced with getting married and having babies. It was not suggested that Shraddha should try something else. Being a housewife is a matter of choice in case of women like Shraddha (I mean those who are educated and independent enough and perhaps wants to earn money) not a replacement of failing career. It's a matter of choice for some women those who are capable of getting into a job or something not alternate career. Due to this mentality that getting married is a replacement of one's failed career, housewives, those who don't have any other option but being one and also those who willfully wanted to become and are very happy about it, don't get their due respect..matlab kuch nahi hua to chalo housewife ban jao.

Would you expect some male being suggested to get married and have babies and become a house-husband after a failed career unless he wants to do that and become one?

she is nt that charmingly beautiful to become a top star
any ways..however much we may fake pretend bt it is
absolute truth that a woman is judged by her looks
at least in movies surely we are less forgiving to the age
related signs in our bodies..so i dnt think shraddha has
any chance of making it real big in bollywood..

however i do nt agree that marriage n kids are her best
alternative..she surely can explore other avenues..
of her interest..

As you said @red so I tried to clarify that those members were against TM's post that perhaps he was replacing one woman's failing career with being housewife not that you said @pink (why only housewife? isn't there other career? like "chalo main to fail ho gayi ab housewife hi ban jati hoon", I guess TM's post projected this mentality, {sorry LP to bring you here}). Members' posts were against the mentality that TM's post projected not against housewives at all. Because TM was talking about some lady's career/professional life not personal life. Getting married and having babies is very personal it's not some professional life right?

And whatever I wrote in previous post or have written in this post is not pointed towards you or against you at all. I just tried to explain members' comment in general. I very much understand that what you tried to say.

she can retire because she can't act and not because she's in her 30's. May be this is the reason why women don't reveal their age. Only in asian countries people [not all] have this mindset of getting married in early 20's because people have this problem of interfering in other people life.. but fortunately, it's not the case in abroad. You can settle down whenever you want and people don't consider you 'old.' I simply don't get it why women are considered old when they cross 25+ but nobody points out to men abt the same? Look at aish and abhishek.. she's older to him but he looks more aged than her. i think It's all about maintaining yourself well.

As long as she dances n shows body she will have work
