Barkha Bisht talks about her character being bumped off in a TV show and sharing cold vibes with child artist Arsheen Namdaar
Barkha Bisht, who plays a single mom called Asha in Naamkarann, has react ed to the news of her ouster from the TV show with surprising equanimity . The actress admits that the development has left her a little sad, but not shocked.

"I didn't expect Asha to be bumped off, since she is one of the core characters of the show. The producers informed me the moment they finalised the track, and it doesn't seem to be an overnight decision. Every two weeks, we were trying something new to up the ratings," she says, adding, "I am practical and understand the pulse of the industry . I am sad that I am out of a show that I've been part of since its inception. I think they decided to end my character because of its shock value. Had it been any oth er character, the level of shock would have been lower."

It was also rumoured that she didn't get along with child artist Arsheen Namdaar, who played her daughter, Avni, on the show. "The story was always from Avni's perspective and hence, she was the protagonist. But that does not mean that I was any less important. A 10year-old can't make me feel insecure. As far as not getting along with her is concerned, you don't connect with all your colleagues; it's just that I had a better equation with other people.Today's children are extremely professional and mature for their age because of the exposure they get. My love, affection and patience are only for my daughter," she signs off.

Well, her character was sadly not so strong as it could had been after Ashish left Aisha. CV decided to put it on Avni instead, which I think it's fair enough. The show has now got more interesting and unique because of that.

I was not aware that Barkha and Arsheen didn't have such a good vibe offscreen, that's sad as they shared maximum screenspace. But if they could work proffesionally and if they don't have any problem with that, then I guess it's okay. After all Arsheen is a kid, so it might be easier for her to along with kids (as I found that easier in my childhood).
