Doubts and Jealousy

Priyanka's mind drifted back to Ranveer, a small smile of victory adorning her features. "This is what you get for calling me weak," she thought.

"Oh no!" Dev called out. Priyanka was startled, slightly annoyed that Dev broke her trance. "What happened Dev?" asked Soumya. "My childhood friend and her best friend are coming from LA! Today! Nisha will kill me that I didn't remember!" he exclaimed. "Ok, ok, calm down. You can send your chauffer right?" Soumya asked. Priyanka was indifferent - it seemed like Soumya was more concerned than her. This is weird. Why didn't she care nearly as much when Soumya, someone Dev was NOT supposed to get married to was being more thoughtful? Priyanka shook her head. Her heart and mind have been acting weird since her trip to the Ashram with a particular cop.

"Hey, what happened?!" Soumya asked. Priyanka was startled, again. "I have been calling out your name for the past 2 minutes" Soumya said. "Oh, oh nothing, nothing. I was thinking about Bhaiya's wedding that's all! I still have to decide what I want to wear! I am so confused!" she exclaimed trying to sound as real as possible. Soumya seemed to buy it, because she said "Ok, it's fine! We can decide together!" Dev seemed to be busy on the phone. "Probably his friend," Priyanka thought.

Suddenly they all heard someone scream "Deeev!!!!" Priyanka thought her ear drum exploded. Who or what can scream like that?

Dev literally jumped, "Nisha!" he exclaimed. He turned around and four of them saw a woman in her 20s running towards him. She then hugged Dev as tightly as she could. "OMG! Dev! Look at you!!" she screamed. Who was this lady? More importantly how did she manage to get inside?

Dev let out a laugh and pulled away from the woman. He then turned towards Priyanka, Rehaan and Soumya, in an attempt to introduce them. Priyanka now looked at the woman. She had a tan, her hair bleach blonde and she was wearing a short strapless maroon bodycon, skinny black jeans, accompanied with black high heels. "Hello! I am Nisha!" she exclaimed. Both Soumya and Priyanka extended their hands, which Nisha shook rather delightfully. Soumya liked her, she seemed like a nice person. Probably a bit straightforward but nice. "Oh my! I almost forgot! Neha! Over here!" she exclaimed and pulled a girl, that they didn't notice up until now. "Guys, this is Neha, my best friend!" she exclaimed. Neha was a petite girl, with long blue-black hair, that reached up to her waist, olive skin and big brown eyes. She was absolutely gorgeous. She looked at Dev, shyly and Priyanka's eyes kept darting between the two of them. "Hmm. This is interesting" she thought but didn't say anything. Dev suggested Neha and Nisha should get some rest which Nisha declined and suggested Neha to go without her. One of the employees at the Chhabra house came to Neha's aid on Dev's request and it seemed like Dev wanted to go but stopped. Dev's phone rang all of a sudden and he suggested that the employee make sure that Neha was comfortable. He then excused himself. He gave a soft smile to Neha, which Priyanka's eyes didn't fail to notice.

Soumya and Rehaan were now talking now amongst themselves and suddenly suggested that they should all go out for lunch, because Dev's cousin and her best friend were visiting India for the first time in about 10 years. Nisha suddenly suggested Priyanka to go out for a walk, ignoring the fact that she needed to rest after a long flight, and Priyanka agreed. She didn't dislike her but it was soon to tell if she liked her. Never judge a book by its cover. As they were walking in the garden, Priyanka's eyes were searching for a particular ACP. "Ranveer!!!" suddenly she heard someone scream. It was Nisha. Wait Nisha?!

Ranveer was heading back after his conversation with Mr. Chhabra. His mind was filled with a tedious amount of things. There was a feeling of uneasiness inside his mind. Mr. Manohar's voice and body language - those raised questions on his mind. Why did these rich people like playing hide and seek? Even when it involved lives? He had a hard time trusting the Chhabras and Oberois, for some odd reason. Is it because he didn't like the rich and influential? Probably not.

Suddenly he heard someone scream out his name. Who on earth?! He saw a woman in black jeans and maroon top running towards him. His eyes were wide. She stopped thankfully, right in front of him, and Priyanka was right behind her. "Ranveer! It's me Nisha! Nisha Rathore!" she exclaimed. Wait, where was this going? Did she miss something? Priyanka thought. Ranveer's eyes went wide, again, suddenly hit with a series of flashback, Nisha, the name sure did ring a bell. "Nisha as in Vikram uncle's daughter?" he asked, his face lighting up. "Yes!" she exclaimed and hugged Ranveer, and the latter returned it. Priyanka could feel a little green monster peeking through. Why? Ranveer noticed it and smirked which he successfully hid as soon as Priyanka's eyes met his. The duo pulled away and now Nisha exclaimed, "Priyanka, this is Ranveer! We go wayyy back!" Priyanka felt like fuming. How did he have the ability to change how she felt. Priyanka tried to keep a poker face on and said "Oh! An ACP I see!" "OMG! Yes Ranveer, you're an ACP! Good for you!" she exclaimed. "Look at you, all grown to be a fine looking man!" she added. Ranveer chuckled, and sneakily looked at Priyanka. Priyanka coughed. "I have to go, I was supposed to be home soon and help Soumya decide what to wear to lunch," Priyanka said, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her dupatta. She hated how the ACP made her feel. Why was she so jealous of Nisha the moment she ran to Ranveer but not when she was doing the same with Dev? This question will be haunting Priyanka's mind for a long time. "Oh right the lunch!" Nisha exclaimed. "Priyanka, would you mind if Ranveer joins us," Nisha suggested. What?! There's no way she would endure these two together, laughing and chatting away! Ranveer was trying to be polite and said "oh no, no Nishu, that's fine." "Nishu?!" "He even has a nickname for her!" Priyanka thought. "Oh c'mon Ranvi!" Nisha exclaimed. "Oh, now Nisha has a nickname for him as well. I see" Priyanka thought, fuming on the inside. She knows she had to be polite and so she said "no, that's ok. ACP" she emphasized the alphabets rather too clearly. Then she continued, giving a tight smile "you should join us, I insist." She wanted to grit her teeth but that would give away that she was actually jealous. Ranveer smiled and said "sure." Priyanka needed to leave, she needed to clear her head, answer her own questions that were now eating her up. So, she said "I'll go now, see you" and walked away. Nisha waved her hand at Priyanka, "byee Priyanka!" she exclaimed. She stared at her confused. Ranveer smiled at Priyanka's retreating form.

"Nishu! Ranvi!" Priyanka exclaimed, mockingly. "Oh my GOD! ACP?!" she exclaimed, fanning her face and made a face. "That fake blonde Oompa Loompa and that egotistic jerk!" "Ugh!" she exclaimed, clearly frustrated. "Those two should be together!" she said, fuming. "We go wayyy back!" she said, flipping her hair and then she rolled her eyes. She was stomping as she was walking. Priyanka hated to admit that Nisha was indeed attractive no matter how many times she calls her an Oompa Loompa. She hated the fact that Nisha and Ranveer looked good together, or she thought so. She also hated that she hated seeing those two all close, calling each other by the shortest form of their names as if they have known each other for centuries. Little did the little Miss know that the man haunting her thoughts was a few feet away, observing her antics, with a smile on his face. She was so engulfed in her own little world that she didn't realize that the duo responsible for her jealousy was pretty close by.

So, what is Neha's connection with Dev?

Ranveer was stuck in a sea of questions after his conversation with Mr. Chhabra. Guys, I am sorry I could not delve deep into their convo! :(

Nisha might actually turn out to be Cupid for PriVeer. Who knows?
