Its not me who's spinning the words, its you who're doing this.
I said Lopa calling baba illegitimate child was a direct attack on his mother's character as in our society mothers of illegitimate mothers are not considered having good character.
And you're accusing me of supporting that thinking whereas i never said that I think that way too.
But as society thinks that way that's why such abuses are used in the first place. And that's what Lopa did too. She attacked baba's mother in place of attacking him.
I don't believe you spun words - we both agree on what Lopa's words were. I referred to a spin on the statement, i.e one sourcing the root of the insult to the mother's character - which I disagree with.
If you don't think that way, that's fine - it's also fine if you do - each to their own. You were first of the view that all of society agrees that an unmarried mother = a characterless woman, and since said society includes you, the indication that you agree, followed. If it doesn't, I stand corrected.
As I've said before - I think these insults are used to attack the child in question, particularly because said child is not responsible for his/her illegitimacy. Being illegitimate is considered disrespectful by many, and such an insult indeed attacks the child, his/her parents, and the circumstances of his/her birth. What I don't think it necessarily and solely attacks, however, is the mother's character. I also disagree that the entirety (or majority) of society agrees with this view, for the reasons that I've outlined previously.
I think I've exhausted all that I have to say on this subject. We clearly disagree with each other in this instance, so I'll leave it at that, here.
