I know, lot of people have raised objections. But my sincere question is, did all of you know who Taimoor was, before? Did we study about him in our history lesson? I can't recall, studying about him in my school days. I learnt about him later. (Of course, before Saif's baby 😆 ).
One can condemn Saif, only if he knew about his deeds and still went ahead. I find such possibility nil, as his family (and him) too open minded. Next alternative is, he does not have as much historical knowledge as Bebo claims. (It is quite possible. Tomorrow Kareena will think her son is an Einstein, if he solves a trigonometry problem). Yes, Saif could have done some research before naming his son. But if he did not do, is it a fault?

Is was decided under Nehru's time to whitewash the history in our texts and cover up the deeds of such rulers to keep communal harmony. Was there a need to compromise on the truth, while telling history of our nation? Has such minority pleasing politics helped the community in any way? (I feel, only reverse happens. People will read the exaggerated narrations, because of social media). One must congratulate Saif for showing us, what is lacking in our history. The truth.

I read mellowed down version of the creeps deeds when in school but as the years passed by my knowledge of history increased by varied sources.
Saif might be well read than Bebo but am sure he isnt all that Bebo makes him out to be. She's his biggest fan girl. So her claims maybe exaggerated. Also it could very well have been one of his ancestors name (not implying that the lame taimur was Saif's ancestor) or simply Saif must've have liked the ring of it and assumed it would've been a regal name.
In all probability it must've been suggested by some ignorant dumb head to the parents and they just liked it without any researching involved by them (entirely possible) Saif is getting bashed coz its a general perception that bebo is super dumb and Saif a well read genius 😆 it cud hv well been bebo's pick..

one of the aftereffects of timur 's conquest in delhi is here ( though it was deleted from my 6th standard books due to obvious reasons)
After Delhi fell to Timur's army, uprisings by its citizens against the Turkic-Mongols began to occur, causing a bloody massacre within the city walls. After three days of citizens uprising within Delhi, it was said that the city reeked of the decomposing bodies of its citizens with their heads being erected like structures and the bodies left as food for the birds. Timur's invasion and destruction of Delhi continued the chaos that was still consuming India, and the city would not be able to recover from the great loss it suffered for almost a century.

I never learnt about Taimur before in my history book and this is the first time I got to know about him.

Now I know a 1-day-old kid being named him and can not dislike him because he has a name that matches a cruel crusader. He's innocent and that's what matters to me

I didn't.

I read the name for the first time in Karan's tweet about Bebo's baby and hated it instantly. I thought he had to be joking.Such a dated name.Ugh!
