Came across this show watching the repeats on Sunday...highly recommended 😳😃
The show is about a woman called Madhu, a housewife who is an avid TV watcher...especially of saas bahu shows. She acquires the power to enter the world inhabited by the characters...hence the title, TV ke uss paar. Her children however have a hard time believing her and think she has gone bonkers.😆
This show is a gem...To give a gist, it makes a scathing criticism of every saas bahu show on tv.😆😆😆 Especially Ekta and Rashmi Sharma shows.

The lead actress in particular is spectacular...awesome comic timing. Her character embodies the average tv viewer in this country..yet her character is humanised to an extent where you feel for her.
And man...does she make you laugh😆😆 When she talks about how she wants to get up from bed still dressed impeccably like TV characters 😆 Her exhilaration with her friends when she watches Goki Vahu proved innocent and Vaashi slapped by Tokila🤣 Her desire to speak perfect Hindi like Tokila😆 and many more.
Do watch the old episodes if possible. The show is not at the level of say, a sarabhai vs sarabhai...but certainly refreshing and funny. And once it settles in, you feel it leaves a good impact. It's written by Gajra Kottary who wrote Balika Vadhu...so she certainly knows all the tropes and has a good time mocking them!
