Do read and review :)

MISREPRESENTATION

"Tell me my loves. What is going on in your heads?", asked Lord Krishna, smiling at Rukmini and Bhama, who sat massaging His feet lovingly.

"Swami, you now have eight wives, eight Lakshmis", said Rukmini. "Bhama and I wanted to know.."

She broke off, looking at Satyabhama to continue.

"What are we to you, Pran Nath?", asked Satyabhama. "We know you love us more than we can understand. But we are curious"

Krishna laughed, and nodded.

"Where do I start, Priye? How do I explain what you are to me?", asked the Lord. "I am, because you are. When you both are Sita, I am Rama. When you both are Rukmini and Bhama, I am Krishna. When you both are Shridevi and Bhudevi, I am Vishnu. I cannot be me without either of you"

"But Swami, isn't it the other way around?", asked Satyabhama.

"We are, because you are", said Rukmini.

"No my loves. Rama is incomplete without Sita, Krishna without Rukmini and Bhama, Vishnu without Shridevi and Bhudevi", said Lord Krishna. "You both are my Prakriti, just like your six other sisters are, just like Nila Devi also is to Vishnu, along with Shridevi and Bhudevi. Purush is incomplete without Prakriti. You know something?"

"Tell us Lord", said Rukmini.

"There will come a day when I am worshipped with both of you. Only when people worship me with both of you will they bear the full fruit of my blessings. If either one of you are forgotten, the possibility of full blessings is not there anymore. Disregarding either one of you can do that", said the Lord. "You know, Rukmini understands this Avatar fully, but Bhama, you feel it, which manifests into understanding. Since you came, Rukmini has been able to feel things more fully, thus indicating that both of you are the same, and are needed by me completely for the Universe to be happy"

"But Lord, I still don't get it", said Satyabhama.

"What don't you get Priye?", asked Lord Krishna, sad smile on His face.

"Why is it that difficult to understand that you love Jiji and I, and the other six Bharya equally?", asked Satyabhama, curiously.

"People do not like seeing things perfectly. They prefer drama, and thus misinterpret everything. They will never understand it. They will call most of the Bharya normal humans, and will separate Bhudevi from Mahalakshmi", said Krishna.

"Don't tell me Arya. They can't call me purna Mahalakshmi", said Rukmini, slightly horrified. "I am a form of Hers, sure. But I am incomplete without my Bhama, just the way Bhama is without me"

"Jiji, you are that amazing a person. To try and describe you is not easy, but I hope the future generation gets you. As long as they have the ability to explain you, my Jiji and my Arya, as long as they understand even a small part of the love both of you shared, I will be happy", said Satyabhama.

"But it will hurt you, as a woman, though you will know", said Rukmini, tears in her eyes.

"Jiji, don't cry", said Satyabhama, wiping Rukmini's tears. "It will, but I have Arya, don't I? He will take care of my hurt and will make it go away"

Dharani came out of the vision, with tears rolling down her cheeks. She had done her best to make sure it doesn't hurt, but it does. Every time people forget Bhama was also Sita, which is almost always, it stung. Every time people forget Bhudevi is Mahalakshmi, it stung, which was also a lot of times. Mahalakshmi is called Shri, but is also called Bhu. But the Bhu part is always disregarded in Her, as is the Bhu part in Sita. They only remember her as Bhumija, not as Bhudevi also. Don't they realise that their thought process makes a Goddess feel like they are ripping a part of her identity? Do they know how Nila Devi would feel about the fact that they forget She even exists? She was more Radharani that Shri and Bhu were.

Her faith and belief in Lord Vishnu is what stops her from breaking down, thought Dharani. She knew that more than anyone else, He would be hurt about the representation of Bhudevi by people. That is partially why they had to be reborn. To teach the value of Bhudevi, so that at least future generations wouldn't make as many mistakes.

Yes. This was Kaliyuga, and it is the age of darkness, but the parents in Bhu and Narayana could not stop wanting to teach their children how to live, what the truth is. They always hoped that their children would listen. This birth was about the trials they faced, and what the society has done to even the name of God; slander and misrepresentation. Additionally, why do people have to treat Shri like an object and forget Nila?

"Nappinai, please give us our Lord Krishna. Let us have His blessings and love for a while. You and He are inseparable, we know. Which is why we are begging you to give Him to us. We know that He would never do anything against your wishes, as He knows your heart better than you yourself know it. Please give us our Swami for a while"

The sweet voice of Andal, oozing love for Lord Krishna, amazed Nappinai.

Neela smiled, remembering her sister Bhudevi. The relationship she shared along with Bhudevi and Shridevi was something many cowives would never share. It was so evident in the AshtaBharya of Lord Krishna, and yet people never saw it, instead choosing to believe that the Bharya fought with each other, and make it seem like Rukmini had it all, but Bhama didn't. The truth was both of them had everything. They brought out what qualities were necessary at that time. And then there are people.

She sighed. It didn't matter to her that she was forgotten. It only mattered that they weren't represented correctly.

Shrikala was annoyed. Why did people have to be so stupid? Why couldn't they accept that Nila Devi is a wife of Lord Vishnu? Why couldn't they see that Bhudevi is also Mahalakshmi, and without her, there is no Shri?

Turning to the statue of Lord Narayana, she folded her hands, and asked, "Swami, why?"

It thundered outside, indicating that her questions will be answered soon, and that she had to be patient.

Shrikala nodded, knowing her Lord said what He did for a reason.

Beautiful update, Srutha. 👏
Everything is explained so well. Loved the little flashback between Krishna, Rukmini and Satyabhama.

Do continue. Will Dharani and Shrikala ever meet? And does Neela Devi also take an incarnation in your fic?

Although Srutha, I have my doubts about Neela Devi being different from Shridevi and Bhudevi. I feel like Mahalakshmi has only two forms, Shri and Bhu. Even in shastras, when Mahalakshmi is not mentioned in her purna roop, she is described as either Shri or Bhu, and Neela Devi is a form of them.
Neela Devi was a consort of Lord Krishna in particular. She was not the consort of Lord Vishnu. Although they are ultimately the same, it's like saying Sita was the consort of Lord Vishnu, and not just Rama, which is not the case. Neela is linked with Krishna. Even in Tiruppavai, Andal prays to Neela Devi for Krishna, not for Vishnu.

I looked online in many places, and Neela Devi is used in place of Radharani by many people, particularly in the Tamil community. In the North, she is called Radha. In the South, she is called Neela, but apparently they are the same, and this makes more sense to me. I feel like Neela/Radha are the same, because they are connected to Krishna more than Vishnu specifically, and they are a form of purna Mahalakshmi, whereas Shri and Bhu are Rukmini and Bhama respectively.

Nappinnai - Krishna cult is mainly limited to the Tamil speaking world. Nappinnai is often referred to as Radha or Rdhrn or "Radhika" in North India.

Andal (one of the Alvars) wanted to perform devotion to her Lord Krishna like Gopikas did in Dwaparayuga. She in her Thiruppavai, wakes up Nappinai before waking up Lord Krishna. As per Srivaishnavism, saranagati(complete surrender to the Lord) is performed through His consort and in Sri Krishnaavatharam specifically it is performed through Nappinai.

So I don't believe that Neela was really the "third consort" of Vishnu. She was simply another incarnation of purna Mahalakshmi like Sita was. She may very well have been Radha, but with two different names. Some call her Radha, some Neela.

Srutha Didi , it is really an enchanting update, immensely endearing one ! The convo between Krishna , Rukmini and Bhama are delightfully enduring, it simply put the essence of the bonding between the God and his Goddesses in front of us , into our hearts ! Yes , want to know much more about Neela Devi .
As far as I know , the legend of Neela in Krishna's story states that -- Neela first questions the Gopis' devotion towards that maverick boy who steals butter from other's houses and who lured the housewives with his irresistible smiles and melodious tunes of his flute , how and why the world is adoring him for all those wrong reasons ?!!Later she too was attracted towards the captivating beauty of Krishna and his ' philosophical mischiefs ' and realized her love and enticed towards that seraphic smile of Syam !
This is not an authentic version I think , only poets used this for their purpose . So, Srutha waiting to see how you'll define her in your wonderful narration .
