So here I am, back to live up to my reputation I had created for myself. Those who know me will agree and those who don't I am pretty sure someone will do the honors of introducing me in glorious technicolor. Anyways let me just get to the point: WHAT THE f**k IS GOING ON????
No seriously, what has the channel and PH smoked to come up with crass cacophony such as the one on air in the series that promised to follow a different tangent? Where are those promises? Afloat in some stinking gutter??? What IB, the channel and PH are collectively selling is the age old stinking shit of patriarchy that allows a woman only to be subservient. Excuse me this is 2016, such shitloads would not be tolerated, not when on one side we women are fighting to be accepted as human with equal status as that of men. Putting a lipstick on a pig doesn't exactly changes it's status. So yeah what exactly are you makers smoking??
Let me recap for ya:
1) Shivaay assaulted Anika.
2) Threatened to undress and rape her
3) Kidnapped her brother and so f**king calmly told her to give into his demand or he'll kill Sahil.
4) Humiliated her
Apparently after all this he is the true love that Anika should stick with. ARE YOU f**kING KIDDING ME?
And before the lawyers of the great Moron Singh Oberoi grace me saying it was Anika who started it, let me go back to the scene where Richa said she'd commit suicide. At that moment, I ask you readers, would not coax that person into some sense? Saying it's your choice and make one? Anika did the same, Richa refused to marry so how come it is Anika's fault? What Shivaay did and is continuing to do makes him deserve to be skinned alive.
But that's not all folks. If having Shivaay wasn't bad, we next have the great example of subservience in the name of Anika. Yes, she is a spineless glob who makes me question the sanity of entire team involved!! Seriously woman, have you no sense at all? Have you no self respect that you so blabber about? Have you no iota of dignity that you are crying over an impotent of a man and a certain half baked relation with him? Any girl, any girl in your place would have attacked Shivaay where it hurts the most. But you girl and your wallow of self pity. You are a joke in the name of "Nayi Soch". Agreed breaking down wasn't abnormal. Agreed crying wasn't abnormal but to look for acceptance from a swine of a husband? I mean every f**king thing here is wrong. And those claiming she is fighting back, excuse me; SHE IS NOT. PERIOD.
Not apologizing to someone, does not mean fighting back. Not speaking up does not mean fighting back. Crying your eyes out does not mean fighting back. And she is not fighting back. So stop applauding her. If she had to fight back, she would have turned a hostile witness in Gayatri Murder case, claiming she was blackmailed into saving Shivaay. Randhawa would have arrested Shivaay on circumstantial evidence basis. If she had to fight back, she would have given a statement to the media recounting all that Shivaay had done so far, including the sham of the marriage and made a scene out of his Naam, paisa and Power. That would be fighting back. When someone doesn't play by the rules, heck, you chuck them too! You don't go pleading. And about accepting this marriage...answer me, is being the wife of a rich man all that a woman needs in her life? Is that all? Apni pehchaan, apna naam, are just display pieces? I can't believe that people are actually supporting their marriage, seriously? Do you guys even know what forced marriages do? Do you have any bloody idea how badly it breaks your psyche?
My own uncle had been subjected to a forced marriage and the guy is now lost forever. Even after a divorce he has had no closure, none at all. And what's worse is that he is no longer the guy he used to be. That is the final outcome of such marriages. And with this fact out in the open, how can anyone this f**king sham between Shivaay and Anika? And before you advice me to switch my channel and watch something else, let me give you another wonderful news. Series like these do more damage to women than the closet mentality of patriarchal society.
Six years ago, here in my city Ranchi, a man had beheaded a young college girl in the premise of St. Xavier's college, Ranchi. When he was interrogated he gave a chilling statement that he got the idea of repeated stalking from a TV series where the girl had appreciated this stand of the hero. But since this girl didn't, he beheaded her. This is the pretty picture our wonderful series draw.
I ask you readers, as women, as men and more importantly as humans, how can you appreciate assault, molestation and abuse of a woman? How can you justify it in the name of sizzling chemistry? How can you look forward to this shit only because some lead couple have got good looks? How? Does it not pain you to see on one side people fighting to bring women on equal stance and on the other side a huge chunk supporting every thing anti that? Does it not boil your blood to see abusing of a woman being hailed? Does it now break you to see age old stereotypes still defining what a good/chaste woman is? If it doesn't then all I can say is wake up and smell the f**king coffee!!!! Manhandling a woman doesn't make you a man, respecting a woman does. Staying in an abusive relationship doesn't make you chaste, it makes you stupid. And falling for a guy like Shivaay doesn't make you lovelorn, it makes you an asshole.
For heaven's sake get out of that loony bubble and see the truth!!
P.S. I know most will say how dare I speak this after harping about Svetkara. Well people there is a huge difference between having consensual sex (irrespective of gender or age) and molesting a woman. The key word here is CONSENT!! Taking revenge on someone while playing on their psyche ain't wrong if you have a valid motive but physically abusing someone is.
