"Thanks for waking me up, Miss Oberoi."

Priyanka stopped chewing for a moment and looked at him, straight into his eyes. He winked at her with a naughty boyish smile. She could feel her cheeks and ears heat up again.

Unbelievable! What has gotten into him? Why is he behaving like this? Is this some new tactic? I am sure he is up to something.' Unable to speak a word, she looked down at her plate again, pretending to be preoccupied in preparing the next bite.

Ranveer thankfully grabbed this chance to observe her as he poured a cup of chai for himself. He enjoyed her reaction. She was blushing heavily. A confirmation for him that she was affected by his comments. For some reason he could not explain, he enjoyed this.

Amused, he continued: "You know Miss Oberoi, I could get used to such special wake up service.." Priyanka looked up again. The heat she had felt burning on her cheeks had now translated into fire in her eyes. "L-l-look ACP Randawa.. I only c-c-came to your room to take back what is m-m-mine and what you s-s-stole from me!"

"But Miss Oberoi.. I am the ACP.. I was just doing my job. I did not steal anything. I was only collecting proof.. You on the other hand Miss Oberoi, are guilty of taking that particular proof from my room..which is a crime.. Embezzling proof in a murder case.."

Her eyes told him she was confused. He reached for her hand which rested on the table. Not realizing his own strength, he grabbed her closed wrist firmly and held it up high. Both remained silent for a minute, staring at the hand hiding the folded letter. He noticed his grip felt uneasy on her as he let go of her wrist.

"Chai?"

"What?" she whispered.

"Miss Oberoi, would you care for Chai?" He now signaled at her half empty cup. She nodded.

"So Miss Oberoi.. What will it be? Either you turn in that letter to me, together with more proof. And you start talking or you will have to face the consequences."

"What consequences?"

"You don't want to find out Miss Oberoi.."
