Aamir Khan to Seek 'Tax - Free' Status for Dangal&'

Aamir Khan wants Dangal and its message to reach a large number of audience. The film which is based on wrestling also deals with women empowerment as its core subject. Realising that it is essential for the film to be seen and heard, Aamir will be seeking entertainment tax exemption for Dangal before its release next month.
Confirming the same to indianexpress.com, Aamir said, "I believe it's a film which has the parameters of getting a tax exemption. So I think it falls under that category. But that's not for me to decide. Ultimately, it is for the state governments in each state to decide that. But we will be applying for tax exemption and we are going to try for it before the release. On the censor certificate front, Aamir is hopeful that the film will be certified U and not U/A by the CBFC as the actor believes kids should also watch Dangal. Talking to indianexpress.com, Aamir said "I think it's a universal film and our film is a family film. It's about children and for them. So it's a film for families. And according to us, it will be a U film."
Aamir is also sure that pirates won't be able to play spoilsport and leak Dangal. Said Aamir, "We will try our level best to curb it. So this time too we will try to tackle it."Earlier in the day, Aamir held a special screening for the media to showcase the behind-the-scenes footage of Dangal. From how he gained weight for looking like an old wrestler to losing it quickly, Aamir's stunning transformation justified with his perfectionist tag. Bollywood films may still be reeling under the after-effects of demonetisation but Aamir Khan is hopeful that the situation will not be the same for his next film, Dangal. The superstar believes that things will be back to normal by the time his movie releases.

"I hope it doesn't affect the film. I think things are getting back to normal now. Rock On 2 did get affected because it was released right at that time (when demonetisation was announced by PM Modi) . But I believe Dear Zindagi has done quite well. So hopefully, I think it won't affect the film," Aamir said.



Aamir however, refused to comment on Bharat Bandh that has been called by the Opposition.

Talking about the impressive physique he built to look his part as a young wrestler, Aamir said, "Building your body depends entirely on your diet. If you don't follow a proper diet, you will not be able to build your body regardless of the amount of exercise you do."

Unless it is passed on to consumers (low ticket price), there is no point in government loosing money for the theatre owner (who do not change the ticket price and pocket the profit).

al message, achhi movie lag rahi hain. so it deserves tax exemption👏
