BOI says Haider and Udta Punjab were poor choices for Shahid

Q. Who would you say is the biggest star out of John Abraham, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor

A. Out of the three it would be Shahid Kapoor though bad choices like Haider, Shaandar and Udta Punjab has meant potential has not been fulfilled and younger stars have raced past with better films. There is still a chance for some redemption with Padmavati because if the film is like the original story then the story is such that the audience can only be with one of the heroes and if it is Shahid Kapoor they relate with more and the film is a hit it would be a huge shot in the arm. Of course if it goes the way of Ranveer Singh then that will be it as far as becoming a real star goes.

without those movies shahid stands no chance in this industry... he is not a successful hero yet . for that matter john and saif are bigger than this. movies like haider and udta has defined him otherwise nothing.

Even after ten years BOI will talk of Haider and UP (only they will say these films shouldn't be remembered), just like when it comes to Saif people talk about Omkara and not Salaam Namaste or Race series.
