Shahid Kapoor admits to issues with Ranveer Singh?

There had been recent rumours of trouble between Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, who will be seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati'. Kapoor has spoken up about the same, admitting there were issues, though he claims that things were blown out of proportion.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Kapoor said, "Honestly, I am tired of reading things about Padmavati. I want to go and shoot the film. Let my work do the talking now. Yes, there were some issues, but they've all been sorted out. The right team has come together to make this film and everybody is very excited. And there are no personal issues with anybody... I feel Ranveer is the best guy to play Alauddin Khilji, as it's a very demanding character. I think Deepika is the best Padmavati that anybody could have thought of. And I really do think I'm a great cast for Rawal Ratan Singh... I don't feel the need to give a 100 clarifications because I'm not that kind of a person. I'm looking forward to working with both these actors " they are fantastic and talented. We are one team."

The actor, who was recently blessed with fatherhood, also went on to speak about the changes in his personal life and how he no longer likes leaving the house.

Padmavai', which stars Kapoor and Singh alongside Deepika Padukone, releases on 17th November 2017.

Yeah Masand outed that there were budget issues. It's probably true that they couldn't get the budget approved without getting another lead, and RS is/was mad about playing parallel lead instead of the anti-hero focus.

Deepika's quote on Shahid being a part of Padmavati in 'such a generous way' makes me think that Shahid compromised with a smaller role and the film will focus on Khilji. That's all we are getting news about, all they say about Deepika is how she has a Ghoomar song.🥱

Nice to read an actor being honest in admitting problems existed and not sugarcoating things in interviews. He said it without putting down anybody.

Realistically how much depth can there be for Deepika's role? People complain about Mastani, but there was scope to perform with all of the dynamics btwn Mastani and Bajirao's family. Unless they develop the Ratan/Padmini romance, here it seems like a one note "fiery, defiant" character. Like her role is only to be an object for Khilji to pursue. Shahid actually gets a really interesting character, especially if they go with the version where he convinces Padmini to let Khilji see her.

The more Shahid talks about the film the more Ranveer's insecurity gets visible. His leading man, leading man jaap was like an immature kid peeing in his pants with insecurity. That one also had his answer on DP getting more money than him. Interviews like those should be kept away from getting published.

Shahid on the other hand is giving one after another sorted, secured and classy interviews on Padmavati.

I have bad feeling Shahid is bored with this movie. He is in it for money. It is like chalo chalo lets finish this project so I can move on to something that excites me. And can I now talk about fatherhood. Because that is new and exciting and it also wins me more PR brownies.

He is still brash and arrogant. It is just that there are people who have leg up on him right now..
