my issue is not with reality.. everyone has a different reality. or even characters. and I am not in the younger lot either. I am married, have kids, and have experience my share of MIL issues. but that's life and I have to live with it until I die😉
however, this is a TV show that has not progressed in storyline or any growth in characters!!!! we r getting close to 200 episode mark. story is on a repeat and rinse cycle which is frankly getting boring. I started watching cause it looked different. this is the only show I watch or watched consistently. but over and over and over same saas bahu drama, same instances as in 1000 other shows running on TV.

so, the point is.. makers better move the story forward or else they will lose audience, if not already. noone wants to watch a boring and regressive show.. esp. the type of audience they attracted in the beginning. Actors are amazing and that's why some of us are even jheloing this crapfest. but that will only go so far if story doesn't move😆

too many villains in this show.. Ishwari, Dev, GKB, Vicky... too much negativity. even when the hero is a loser... story can lose it's charm. it doesn't appear a "balancing" act as promos keep saying.. more like.. Does Dev really love Sonakshi or she is a toy for him to play with, love, to respect...only in his bedroom😡

I totally agree with this post. Reality is very subjective. But if the show continues to show negativity along with portrayal of a Hero who is a Jerk and a Heroine who is a doormat or a MOM who is this manipulative that just the mere presence of the son and the mom in the screen are becoming unbearable then it is time for the makers to wake up because Reality or No Reality people want to see positivity and Hope in shows that they are watching

On this point I am 100% with u ... they are definitely not moving forward at all ... I was feeling the same about the pace...ok v got the point of ishwari dev,dev Sona,Sona ishwari relationship but now pl move ahead...I wouldn't b surprised by vicky's evolution ...he might b a good guy soon

we are all feeling what you are your post is valid. it's just the processs is slow (almost 200 episodes.. i thought this was finite series😕)... making it boring! yes, we all understand Ishwari's "insecruities", Dev's emotional immaturity, Sonakshi's open heart... let's go now! as for Vicky..doesn't look like it cause as of now, he is not in love with Elena.. just faking it!

absolutely right.. hero is not a hero.. he is a jerk and hasn't moved from that one inch since beginning of the show. hero is hecka romantic and hot in the bedroom.. but that's it!!!!

Makers have said that audience will empathize with each of the leads.. at this time... majority of the fandom is hating "lowlife" Ishwari, "Spineless" Dev, and "Doormat" Sonakshi😆 and losing interest in the boring, repetitive show!

Like others said, the issue isn't that the characters aren't true to their characterisation. Dev and Ishwari are... sona I think is mostly in her character. But still not the same as she was before breakup. Partly because she is sacred of losing her love. That change in sona is annoying us. She has a plan in place though. Today's scenes tell us she will slowly show Dev that respecting and adoring his mother can be done without being attached to the umbical cord
My only concern is that Dev and Ishwari have fallen so low that a detailed slow redemption is needed. Patchup has ALWAYS been this show's weakest poin . Right from the start. Even small issues like the Ishwari eating unhealthy food... they don't delve into difficult conversations deep enough. And post breakup Dev and Sona don't communicate. I just want the makers to do justice to redemption.

the show is really good though. and agree that they are portraying the true characters, how they are meant to be.

I don't think most boys are like this. Only few sick boys would have such an attachment with their mother. Most men are mature enough to take their own decision is life and not just do what their mother says blindly. Respecting and blindly following someone's order is two very different things. Hell Dev at this rate might even stop sleeping with Sona If Ishwari tells him not to (harsh but true to Dev's character). And yes, he would leave Sona without a hitch in a second If Ishwari tells that too. No Dev never loved Sona truly. It was only his obsession to acquire Sona. Both Mother and Son need some serious professional help. No amount of redemption can ever justify their acts. cv's are you listening.

Well I trust the CVS and love the show no doubt about it.
And all the characters are on true to their nature maybe that's why its sometime irritating becoz I want them to change their characteristics but I guess that will happen with time.
I am unmarried too but I not afraid of marriage becoz of the show but I feel its important to watch this show and learn.
I personally have seen mothers like ishwari in real life but good mils too who treats dil like their own daughter.
We just need to b positive and aware

Firstly this show has not discourage me from allowing my daughter to find a guy to get married to...I am not one who encourage arrange marriage... I want her to find her prince charming...I found mine and she would find hers...and yes ishwari us overbearing but in my country the majority of us don't live with our in laws...so the dev ishwari story will not be so suffocating... I have always thought her to respect her elders... And that would apply to her in laws... I always tell her to stand up for her rights but at the same time do it politely and don't be rude ...I may not always be there so she has to be independent and learn to take care of herself...sona will teach her Prince to be independent... This is a slow process...by not calling asha maa she may find a different wau for him to call her...my mother called her mother maa and her mother in law mama..I am upset with dev but he will learn...when he actually gains his strength that is where he will have to be strong for sona when the infertility track comes in...
