I didnt understood on what basis they chosed top 5 .
Ajay i agree for diffrebt flavour but another 4 they are known for their dessert making speciality .
So what's special to select their cakes ?
Rather than they could have tasted cakes of those who are not pro in dessert making .

Also they chosethose contentants whom they were shown talking in between challenge .Is this hint for future ?

While the contestants cook the judges keep on tasting different elements from what they are cooking. It is not shown to us. Also being top chefs they know which combinations of ingredients are most likely to work out well. So based on that they choose the top dishes.

And yes they mostly show those contestants cooing which are going to be chosen though the judges interact with all. They are following MC Aus this time, they also does the same.
