Ali Merchant on a shooting spree
Ali Merchant aka Akshad of Ambar Dhara and Arjun of Ek Thi Rajkumari recently shot for the two serials for 51 hours continuously.
Explaining how he managed the herculean task, Ali tells us, "It was really hectic as in both the serials I play the lead. I have to be present in all the scenes as I don't like to use a dummy so I was just dancing from one studio to another and only used to rest in my car. I was shooting for 20 hours for one crucial scene in Ek Thi Rajkumari. My condition was so bad that I almost collapsed on the sets."
Adds the actor, "After this I went on the Ambar Dhara sets and where a love angle is going on between me and Ambar so again my requirement was a must. I was on the sets for 31 hours which means for 2 and a half days I spent my time of two different sets."
Is the situation any better now? "Well these days also I am very busy as on 27th we friends - Jay Bhanushali, Faisal Khan and all are planning to go to Goa for New Year so I had to prepare a bank of episodes for my serials."
On being quizzed whether he has left Kahaani, he replies, "No. It's just that my scenes have not come. I'm the very much part of Kahaani and will be back as Bharat soon."
