The Omkara' team is most excited about their well made trip to Karachi recently. Producers Ajay Devgan (also lead actor) , Kumar Mangat and director Vishal Bharadwaj were back yesterday, tired but elated by the fact that their film bagged three awards - best adapted screenplay, (jointly to Vishal Bharadwaj and Abhishek Chaube), best music direction (Vishal Bharadwaj) and best villain (Saif Ali Khan).
Talking about the experience, Mangat said, "It was a great honour that we won awards in Pakistan. We had a blast there. Ajay, Vishal and I went everywhere without security. Just before the screening thousands of people came by asking about the film. I think it's time that the Pakistani government allows Indian films to be screened there. Everywhere we went our songs were being played and pirated version of our movies screened. Ajay and I were overwhelmed by the response and the honour. We are planning to enter the film in other festivals in other countries as well."
UTV's Khosla Ka Ghosla' won the award for best original screenplay.
