it's some kind if south Indian wedding anways I feel phers will be completed as yhm cv's can't take this big risk
I am a tambrahm iyer..we technically do not have saath phere..it's seven steps around the fire., with the husband holding the wifes toe...it's called saptapadi...and marriages are normally already considered done when the mangalyadharanam is done..aka thaali tied around the girls neck...it's the most important part of the marriage. ..ans all other rituals after that including saptapadi are considered 'householder' rituals which the couple perform officially as man and wife. .With the thaali tying., the girl ideal sits on her father's lap..when the b groom ties the thaali..and all the guests shower blessings., its a mix of kanyadaan..and mangalsutra ritual..and is done during the 'muhurtam'...whereas in North indian weddings pheras are the most important ritual and done during the most auspicious time..But yhm cvs will surely introduce drama during pheras because it's 'filmy' enoughđĽąđ¤˘

I'm 1/2 tambram too...most of my relatives/ cousins wedding was done as you described ...
I'm well aware of all the rituals. Thank you for the detailed information... North Indians will also know the rituals.
