Opened one since didn't find any.Previous seasons of the show had much more forum activity. This time the forum looks dead 😆
What are your thoughts on today's episode?

I don't know why but I feel the drama is being scripted with every passing episode. Like they had show Kirti struggling with the plating in the last 30 seconds, the little talk with Kunal, the judges not giving any reaction(C'mon now trimurti, it's getting old and boring) and then ultimately the cheesecake being the winning dish. Same happened in the second challenge- the tiff between Ajay,Pradeep and Srilakshmi was shown more and later they said both Pradeep and Srilakshmi saved Ajay. It appears that the makers are struggling to find masala among probably the best lot of non masaledaar contestants till date (except Srilakshmi) 😆

Coming to the dishes, I again feel the contestants this time are playing too safe, especially Kirti and Ashima.Desserts every single time!!? They really need to step out and try their hand into something else.

And for me Ajay I think is this year's Navneet Rastogi. Such a turn off! He has no leadership skills,he let Dinesh do the work of a captain in the Westin challenge and today too,was really selfish.Clearly the only contestant I can't stand.

the episode was really good
i am not liking the drama and also concept of only selecting top 5 dishes in first challenge

exactly, there's a possibly that the dishes not tasted were actually better taste wise

Exactly! That was the reason they selected Srilakshmi over the other guy at Kunal's flower challenge.Vikas was also talking about how taste is always superior to presentation. A really unfair concept.

I think judges are tasting the dishes while they are being prepared. The difference is that in MC US, etc they mention this during each episode when this kind of selection takes place whereas in MCIndia this was mentioned, I think, only the first time.

I actually like the non-masala contestants since it's clear that you need drama only when you are not as good as the others. If we look at any of the past winners, they have all been the ones who just got on with their work. Other than Srilekshmi the only other person who gets footage is Dinesh and that is because the editor seems fascinated with his accented hindi.

And I agree AadaP... Cheeecake (when not baked), curd/custard tarts, etc have been done too many times and are pretty simple especially because these people use gelatine to ensure the dish sets.
