So far what show has depicted is that Maya is definitely not normal, mostly due to traumatic past of course. She may not actually be delusional (disorder often associated with schizophrenia) But she sure suffers from psychological disorder called OCD.. As it was shown today she was busy keeping her things in a particular way... Pencil on book, then cleaning table with tissue, had it been some minor scene it could have been ignored but camera had major focus on these actions, which was probably an indication for now.

Coming to delusions, no Maya's parents are very much real. She loves her mom, and so far what we see is that as matching up with concept, she is keeping her mom in control... Its her possessiveness and this side of hers which will also be soon reflected in behavior towards Arjun. I feel she had like jailed her mom in a way that she said, because she loves her alot and.. Hadd se jyada... As subtitle goes..

About her father, seriously only clue I can get from these minor interactions and reactions is that probably she had been harassed by her father too, and hence fears him to this extent.

Being psychology graduate, I have high hope from this show to deal the whole thing sensitively and not screw it for love story, like saubhagyavati bhava.
