I believe that Asha is the real villain of the show. Putting up with Ashish's nonsense and spineless attitude and making her daughter suffer for her stupid blind love.
Cannot stand this show. Cannot imagine how one can make a serial with this topic. The 3 hour movie Jakham was enough torture. Everybody is trying to act serious and pretty much have same expression all the time. Reema Lagoo's asthma ridden wheeze voice is just intolerable. Such a boring and annoying show at prime time. With TRP so low I am sure this show will not last.

This show is not with the times. Asha and Ashish are the weakest personalities with Fatima and Tikku being just a notch higher.

And yet, I cannot believe in bygone times too you would such weak, manipulative personalities that are the worst example of a parent. This show is about glorifying weak personalities.

The concept that Asha follows all religions is also show in the most unrealistic manner. Asha is not shown to be drawn to the spiritual side of religion - instead she is shown to be outwardly following rituals.

I understand your viewpoint. Personally, I'm watching it just for Avni. I'm not really interested in Asha and Ashish, because from the start, I've considered only Avni as the lead of this show. So Asha-Ashish's love story, emotions and reactions don't evoke any strong reaction in me. At the most, I feel baffled and irritated 😆 But yes, if somewhere down the line, they turn our spunky, tough and hot-tempered Avni into a docile, self-righteous, mahanta-spouting bimbo like almost all heroines on TV...THEN I will have a problem with the show 😳😆

I agree Avani's acting is really good but do not like to see a kid go through such emotions even if it is for a TV show.

i don't know ...i mean why should a kid put up for mistakes committed by her parents...how i wish asha wouldve let her daughter have a normal childhood despite the issues as she's the one who is supposed to behave in an mature sense ... i felt bad when asha retorted to avni to not speak rudely to her father like what is going on? the man refused to accept his daughter = symbolism of being a coward..

I stoppd watching after3 episodes..
Its more like an adult movie from 70s than a proper show...
Okay we agree its mahesh bhatt's life story but he should have modified it to.modern times..
No female in this decade is like ashudi.. and after watching reema lagoo in sweet n comic roles now itseems she has forgotten acting.
