Hey there.
I'm trying to identify an old Bollywood/Lollywood song I came across on YouTube a while back. The song was from an old black-and-white Bollywood movie made between the 1920s-60s, so inclusive of the Golden Era. The language was either Punjabi or Urdu, and the song basically consisted of a woman (most likely the main love interest) singing really sadly whilst looking out the second-floor window of a humble-looking house/hut. The house had wooden shutters, from what I can remember. As the woman's lamenting, the camera cuts to a male actor (most likely the protagonist) walking into the ground floor of the same house, also looking forlorn while looking in the direction of the stairway to the singer. The playback singer was possibly Noor Jahan or Lata Mangeskhar, but could have been anyone tbh.
If anyone on here could help me identify this song/movie, I'd be soo grateful. Alternatively, do you know of a better/more appropriate forum that I can ask in? I can't find many forums on Bollywood movies. Would really appreciate some help finding this movie, thanks!
