Q. Which is better the 300 crore of Salman Khan or the 350 crore of Akshay Kumar in 2016?
A. That is not even competition its one film total against three films combined. Maybe if it was 500 crore in three films then you would have to give it Akshay Kumar but going 15% higher with three films and that too with films which have not performed all over like Akshay Kumar releases in 2007 and 2012 its a one way horse race. In 2007 he went 50% higher than Shahrukh Khan on four releases against Shahrukh Khan's two so there he probably edges it or at least a case can be made. The 300 crore of Salman Khan has with Sultan is way ahead.

Q. Will M.S. Dhoni give a big boost to the Sushant Rajput as it is a 100 crore grossers?
A. Its a biopic where the actor has been accepted as a very popular real life character, he cannot play that character in all his films. Biopics if well made can do well at the box office but hardly make stars. Farhan Akhtar did Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which was big success but after all his films have opened poorly. Sonam Kapoor has a successful Neerja but are unable to find a buyer for the next film Veere De Wedding as asking for 30-35 crore when industry knows fair value is more like 15-20 crore even though recovery of Neerja is around 55-60 crore. Basically investors know those successes have little to do with the stars and it will be similar case Sushant Singh Rajput until the regular films start grossing.
