Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who was criticised for remaining silent on the Uri Attacks, took to Facebook to condemn the act of terror'.

She wrote:

In the 5 years that I have been working as an actor I believe that I have tried my best to keep my country's respect intact - by being a professional and by representing Pakistan here and elsewhere to the best of my abilities.

As a Pakistani and citizen of the world I strongly condemn any act of terror, any loss of human life no matter which soil it is on. I will not rejoice in bloodshed and war. I will always hope for and dream of a world where my child can live without it, and always plead with everyone to imagine a peaceful world.

It has also been in this time my faith in saner minds and goodness has been restored, thank you for the messages, love and support.

Hoping and praying for peace always.

Mahira Khan plays the female lead in Shah Rukh Khan's Raees, which is scheduled to release in theatres on 26 January 2017.

I sense this issue has taken upto publicity purpose now.
1) She should have condemn it earlier if she really thinks the above mentioned statement.
2) Why you have to say that she is gonna play there with which goddamn actor on which goddamn movie?

Mahira could have said that in Jan 2017. Itni bhi jaldi kya thi 😆

Now all these people's statements seem so forced due to the ban. Fear of losing work is what they are worried about

Pakistani citizens will anyways condemn them and Indian citizens too.

Dono se zabardasti condemn karake kya mila.

Both of them were not condemning coz they live there are going against your own nation especially where such cases have happened where voilence has been the result is definitely not easy.

I feel bad for these peeps but totally understand the need of India to bring an economic halt w.r.t everything with Pak.
