Well just a random post...sometimes I fall into this "Analyse Life from different angle" mode of mine.
So today while going for work I just got this thought. Let me know if its really senseless or can be a sensible perspective. I find it an incomplete thought so I thought of asking here...😊

Dev tells Sona, Gift should not be valued in terms of its price ..Gift is priceless as it has emotions attached to it.
Sona tells him, take only that gift which you know you can give.

Now coming to Life..., Ishu is Dev's mom..His life according to him is a "gift" from his god who has sacrificed her happiness to make him what he is. And the same god has not asked him for anything in return (acc to him) just like no parent does.

A gift by his god which had all her emotions, feelings, no money value..a gift he cannot give back..which is now a Ehsaan (sorry for the word coz I feel parents never do a ehsaan to their kids) jo kuch bhi karo utara nahi ja sakta.

Do I blame him for not agreeing that his mother can ever be at fault..that too so easily??
No..

First of all... Let me say Sorry Diksha... And now i want to laugh...🤣

I didn't expect a serious post from you at all.🤣

Sorry sorry sorry again 😆🤣

But on a serious note. I do agree... For Dev whatever he is today is because of his mother. From giving him birth to making him The Dev Dixit... It's all his mother's sacrifices and hardwork that helped him become a self-made man today. She is his God and his God can never be at fault for him. And it is like this for him since the childhood. He cannot be blamed.

You have shared a very sentimental perspective.
Here is my thought about this -
Every person has a journey of his own - and we attribute our success/failures to one or multiple people, situations, luck, hardwork, dedication etc etc.

True that Dev attributes his existence to his mother But, he is forgetting that there is one God above that mother who created her. he may decide to put keep her on a pedestal but the truth is that 'one person' alone can influence you, guide you and sacrifice for you - but cannot write your destiny or work hard on your behalf.

A mentor can be a guiding light but that alone is not enough for you to reach the sky. The other factors contribute as well.

His mindset of treating his mother as a God has made him dysfunctional in the emotional aspects (which is a failure and he fails to acknowledge it) which that explains his flaws - he will eventually learn , only time will tell.

Meri to Bezatti kharab ho gayi 🤣

Kya Reputation bana li hai maine apni 😆😆

Yaar I wrote serious ones too..infact more of serious ones than faltu 😳..But they are too long..I am just not able to write short serious posts. 😆😆

Now coming to the topic...yes exactly what I feel..I wont be surprised if Dev improves with time but not completely..Coz men in real life too when it comes to this particular thing ..many men are like that..they get better and get to understand their wives better and try to adjust...
They work more on their relationship with wife than work on improving their mom

1. Yes u can call it sentimental perspective..that Why I said I felt my thoughts are incomplete coz this is only one aspect that I am linking it to but when you look at things you need to look at all aspects together to come out with that final thought. But each aspect has some weightage.

2. He's not forgetting that there is one God above all, this concept is not there in his dictionary. No acceptance to the fact.

3. He knows she cannot define his destiny. But whatever he can decide,,...his own actions which will define his destiny need her approval, her nod. I always use the word "Conditioning" for Dev. His mind is conditioned to think in that way.

4. Her mother is not just a mentor to him..Mentor shows you the way but doesnt walk with you, you alone have to walk the path. For him, his mother has walked on that path with him taking his hand in her hand and not letting him fall.

5. Ask a devotee what god means to him and you will know how it comes in the end to one thing..God, no logic..only faith.
He's not become dysfunctional, his acts involve doing something he feels will make his god happy and not upset. He thinks of her reaction first and then actions follow.

Yes he will eventually learn..I too feel so and infact know that. Thats what the story will be all about.

Dev is no way wrong for considering his mom everything. He does what very few people can. Giving parents the devotion they deserve. And Ish has done loads for him to behave so. So it will really take time for him to budge from it.

Gud post!
Coming to d post I think parents can never be at fault so ishwari too bcoz she has gone through so many difficulties that she don't want to look back n don't want to loose her son at any point of tym bcoz she has seen his struggle all his life n dev vice versa that's why shez being so possessive especially about her son.
Coming to sona... I like her point in which she says take only that gift which u know u can give it...
