Thanks. My simple conclusion is for Sona to get her brain back from Bose house and start working from tomorrow. At least 8+ hours you are free from kitchen politics and Ishwari's acts.

I agree to your post like always. 🤗

Today's episode highlights for me -

1. Ishwari and Sona Kitchen issue - Well this is one of the most real incidents which happens with many now-a-days. Happened with me, my MIL did everything which people were expecting of me cuz like Sonakshi, even I didn't know anything 😒. I loved my MIL's help though 😊 I liked Ishwari as well. I liked her explanations about how she cant help Sona in what Sona excels. This is correct. And I liked how she told Sona that after DB leaves, prepare anything and feed Dev 😆 😎. Hope she doesn't mind when Sona feeds burnt roti and undercooked daal to Dev, it's a couple issue, hope Ishwari will have fun from outside instead of singing 'mera beta mera beta' 😆 I also MUCH appreciated her scene when she asks Sona not to come down for DB 😳 She is truly learning to be a good MIL and I can finally smell the old Ishwari here who is 'actually' a good human being by heart but all her emotions go for a toss when it concerns Dev 😊 I agree with the part that lies and deceptions don't take us anywhere, but the sad reality is - no one takes a step to convince the older generation, rather does all these to protect their beliefs howmuchever meaningless and rotten they are at times. Change is one of the main aspects of Dharma. Change is inevitable. Oldies who refuse to change themselves with time should be told and shown the reality. We have Dadi (Sonakshi's Daadi) at one side who is like a bliss ! And then the same show has DB on other side 😵 I wished Ishwari and Sona had the ability to call a spade a spade with politeness, but the fact is, in reality also many of us succumb to such situations and take the shelter of lies and deception just to escape the drama for the time-being 😒

Ishwari's reason behind helping Sonakshi - This is a major concern for me. Sonakshi is not a trophy won by Dev. 🤔 Ishwari has a long way to go before she gets the right reason for her right actions like today's. If Ishwari wants to save Sona from people like DB, it should be for Sonakshi or for her, Dev shouldn't come in between 🤔 But her repeating it again and again that Dev's choice can't be bad, Dev's favorite can't be looked down upon, Dev's decision can't be questioned, Dev's toy should be kept safe - was really alarming. I guess Sonakshi did get a hint of the obsession today when Ishwari was in her usual 'Dev Dev Dev' mode with that proud smile Sonakshi has her own existence, she is NOT just Dev's property to be taken care of. Although for once/twice it was fine, but Ishwari repeating it everytime that she would love/accept Sona because it's Dev's choice - is really annoying and is gonna hurt Sona bad The problem is - If Sonakshi argues back on this that how would it sound to Ishwari if she says she has to accept Ishwari because she is Dev's mother - this argument is gonna fail with Ishwari. She is proud to be Dev's mother, that's her only reason of existence on this earth. It's gonna take quite long time for Sona to convince Ishwari that she is a separate entity and Ishwari needs to respect/accept Sona for what she is, not for who she is of Dev.

All in all, I liked tonight's episode 😊

You are absolutely right. I hope Sona says the truth as well.

How she was praising Sona left and right after Dev spoke so highly of his wife... She says the perfect things in front of him! Ishwari is going to learn the hard way... I guessing there's more to come! And Khathri has still to make his presence

I wish Sona says the truth .. Ishwari told her to lie.because of Dev's izzat, what about her conscience, get good will, her izzat! But something tells me, she will please her MIL, and she did observe her cook, so she will able to answer the questions!

Ishwari's character is a product of the patriarchal society. 90% of uneducated women in a household where men and their families have dominated lie blatantly. That is how they survive. That is how they get their requirements fulfilled in a patriarchal joint family. For them how /or the path that they choose doesn't matter as long as they are good in front of others, but the goal matters. Hence they will be liked by all and termed the most diplomatic person and loved by all. . I AM NOT JUSTIFYING HER.

Origin of a character and behavior of a person has a history behind it. Most of these traits develop in the initial ages of your life . So grooming of a child plays a huge role in it. What the child sees and understands/ perceives from its environment affects the child. Our parents always tell us don't fight in front of kids, don't lie in front of kids etc etc..

An educated, independent and straight forward person like Sona who comes from a very balanced family ...also fell into the trap because this is a new ground for her. Initial fear and wanting to be perfect in front of her in laws made her do it...was she feeling guilty ?? Yes, she was but did that stop her from agreeing to her MIL . No!! - Because the want to satisfy her love was beyond every principles that she followed.

Now ,imagine at a young age Ishwari has lived with a person like that Dhadhi Bua. What her life would have been and how she would have survived? Remember she never had the luxury that Sona had in her childhood. Women she was around would be like Dhadhi Bua and GKB..so how do you think her character would be ?? The nice side of her comes from the knowledge of religious texts. When it comes to application of these principles to achieve a task fails then she uses her own means to survive. That is what she has seen in her childhood and no one said its wrong because towards the end the goal is achieved!! She will not change . She has mastered it by now. It is a part of her. You take it away from her then she is lost !!

You think , Dhahi Bua would not have lied ?? Yes , she would have done the same as Ishwari . Just that now she is the eldest one and in control , so she need not lie. She can use a religious reasons to achieve her means ( here again she is manipulative - using religion )

But will Sona follow this path - never !! She cant , she will use her skill to come out. I personally feel ,Sona either will give the right answer to Dhadhi Bua tomorrow because while Ishwari was cooking she kept watching every move of hers...she is smart , even at that time she was trying to learn and understand.

OR tell the truth to her and come out clean.

That is how most educated women who are brought up in a very balance family are , they will accept their ignorance . Then learn and achieve what they want to , not to satisfy the world but for themselves.

❤️THIS IS THE REASON FOR DEV TO FALL IN LOVE WITH SONA - AN EDUCATED ,INDEPENDENT ,STRAIGHT FORWARD LADY❤️. Very different from the women he has seen . You know it with the answer that he gives to Kaki during that Muhdhikayi function!! And before their double date while eating those Kachories ...😳

Isn't it funny how Dev's Izzat is repeatedly mentioned conveniently to advocate everything that is dubious?
Tia, I don't think Ishwari can make Dadi Bua do or understand anything. You can't teach an old proud person to behave with humility. Especially if you are a daughter in law ! 😲 NEVER !! The ego of a mother in law is quite an impressive monument.

Dadi Bua wants to teach Sona to toe the line, with her long menu and expectations. She wants to say "Look, all your studies and great earnings mean nothing here, if you can't even cook a decent meal for your family. Your husband is earning for the family, what can you do here?"

Ishwari and GKB are not as educated as Sonakshi. They are not her co-workers, to value how good she is at her job and profession. If she wants to be part of the women of the house, she has to fit in.

Don't get me wrong. Instead of doing it for her, Ishwari could have stood by her and instructed her to do it step by step, if she really wanted her to win them over. That's what a good saas would have done in the face of Dadi Bua. But she cannot risk Sonakshi being better than her can she? That too in her domain? Sigh.

WHy are women often their own worst enemies?

Agree. 😳 And like you said, this whole thing would just be like Halwa incident where Ishwari was SO innocent, and Sona was insulted 😳 Again Dev would go gaga over Ishwari for helping Sona 😆

The only problem is, if Ishwari were like any other regular MIL, not an issue. But she has this uncontrollable habit of lying and deceit which is going to create problem for Sona. For good or for bad, a lie is always a lie and she does it all the time. People must 'try' to avoid lying as much as possible . I just hope that like yesterday, Sona again defends herself saying it's not a big deal that she can't cook Rasam hoga 80 yrs pehle that newly wedded bride should spend her entire first day in kitchen, who cares now people hardly get leaves on their own wedding (working women). What is this shame of admitting that one doesn't know something ? It's not like a criminal offense ! 😕 People do stupid things to avoid small problems only to invite a much bigger problem from the same issue. Sona is gonna get trapped for her lies. She should stick to her own instinct and habits and should ignore Ishwari's suggestions like these. I myself learnt it hard way in my life and now I dont care to admit in front of whoever that I still can't cook what can I do 😆 But hiding stuffs like this creates a spider-web in which one day the creator itself gets stuck😕

This DB is really annoying. She is thinking about Sona's Bahu Who told her that Sona would have a boy ? Nonsense ! 🥱 I never knew Ishwari had such close relatives all of a sudden who didn't bother to attend Neha's wedding to suffocate her with rituals ? 😕

That old soul dont seem to understand that the very reason Dev fell for was for those characters that he couldnt see in the women of his biradhari ...independent and straightforward !!. He doesnt care about her cooking skills.

I have never understood why a person should marry a women just for cooking skills?? Dont you think keeping a cook is much easier and less expensive on your pocket than marrying ...🤣 just kidding ..no offense to all those lovely laddies who love cooking

Lack of self confidence , Inferiority complex , power game, insecurities etc . You wont see this much with financially independent women ..because somewhere in their heart they feel they have accomplished or have achieved something in their life...at least to some extant.
But exceptions are there everywhere. When financially independent women get into an insecure mode they are more dangerous than the others..😆
Check my response to this post in page 3 - there is more to it.

@ bold: THIS! If Ishu has done this then agree I would have accepted her intention to help Sona...
@red: If she has other hidden agenda and doing something partial with her own motives, then how can she justify her intentions partially?! For some things it's gotta be black or white nothing in between... Like either you know swimming or not... There is nothing like I know swimming but only half.. 😆

And diplomacy don't work all the time unless it's needed for your own peace.. Not to postpone the conflict for ever and ever... 😉

V good analysis... she is v possessive abt her son ...she is doing everything for her ...I feel she requires some counseling... I will agree Dev is her son and she is the reason for him to come to this stage..., but she should understand that she can't take wife or life partners place in her sons life ...
But one thing I can tell that she can get in to any level or face any hurdles for her sons happiness...

She may be possessive about son but she is obssessive about her rasoi. She feels threatened that if Sona starts cooking food then she will loose her importance in household itself. That is the reason that showed that rasoi drama when she felt that Dev was not open to her about his and Sona's relationship. She feels that her way of expressing emotions towards any one in world is to cook food and not through words or talking.
This is the first thing Sonakshi should realise and then with practical self talk should make move.
I think is the same mindset of women in every household.
Any woman at drop of instance would not leave her kitchen to other woman. Well except "Radharani"😆
