That's precisely why every women need their own kitchen. Dev can easily create separate living area in his mansion and add their private area where they can have privacy and his mother's area like a duplex. There's absolutely no need for them to force to live together when they are not comfortable with each other. You can live together if the family is like Rajhsri movies, but not in this neurotic and claustrophobic atmosphere.

She may be possessive about son but she is obssessive about her rasoi. She feels threatened that if Sona starts cooking food then she will loose her importance in household itself. That is the reason that showed that rasoi drama when she felt that Dev was not open to her about his and Sona's relationship. She feels that her way of expressing emotions towards any one in world is to cook food and not through words or talking.
This is the first thing Sonakshi should realise and then with practical self talk should make move.
I think is the same mindset of women in every household.
Any woman at drop of instance would not leave her kitchen to other woman. Well except "Radharani"😆

Mark my words, second separation is on the way. Everything is building up to that.

@bold: I personally don't want that to happen. Marriage should be taken seriously. It's not a game. Even Sonakshi needs to know that not everyone in the world is like her family members. Outspoken and easy to deal with. Most people are like Ishwari jiske "khaane k daat alag hain, aur dikhane of alag". With all good things come worst too... I want her to fight with good spirit. Many a times, tit for tat should be used.
I want her to give Ishwari " a joor ka zatka, dheerese lage" fight.

Exactly and you are absolutely right. Ishwari will never let Sona into her kitchen. Ever!!! Regardless of what she says.

E for excellent analysis Tia.

Lies and deceit is all Ishwari knows it seems. She is such a master in all her games that she always comes out winning. If her intention was to really help Sona then she would have helped Sona cook and instructed her rather than taking over. That would have shown Dadi Bua that Sona is willing to try.How can any person who has never cooked before prepare so many dishes with ease and perfection the first time? So basically in this, Iswari:
1. Comes out as the sweetest MIL with a heart of pure gold.
2. The poor and compromising soul who got a lying DIL who knows nothing about running a house cos as per her and DB cooking and pallu and are the sole criteria for that. All sympathies from DB cos DB's definition of good bahu= meek, obedient girl with a tape on her mouth and a lock on her brain.
3.She gets what she wants from DevMaa =God And so the God is pleased.

And Ishwari might have said that Sona could cook in future any way she knows and wants for Dev but she will be the first to stop her."Mere hardworking pyaare Dev ko aisa khaana khilaogi?Abhi uski maa hai uska dhyaan rakhne ke liye.Go toy, stay inside the room for Dev to play with. "

If the fainting time Dev jaap was not enough, the kitchen jaap should make Sona realise the extent of unhealthy obsession Ishwari has for Dev.Sona should realise that there is no need for her to portray herself as someone she is not.The lies are only going to invite trouble and more insults.

As for shagun-Ishwari can so easily twist the cultures and definitions to suit her, can't she?Double standards.🤢Her revenge is certainly more deadly.

You see just like Dev and Sona will never forget who made it possible for Sona to come back in Dev's life, the same way, if Sona even doesn't get caught, she will never forget that how she lied to pass a test and who saved her hide there. Ishwari is more enshrined in Dev and Sona's love story than their own romantic moments.

actually as mentioned that would have been the best way ...ishwari directing sona and then telling dadi bua that she attempted it and she will learn it with practice...but her obsession about dev ki izzat is what makes her do this and not exactly well being of sona or rescuing sona from this mess...so cook the whole stuff and let dev's wife get praised to skies...

When her middle class parents never forced her to learn cooking, why would in-laws ask her to lie or learn cooking when her husband is million er and can afford any number of cooks.

This kitchen politics of ishwari is quite dangerous. Hope sona doesn't get badly trapped in it. And this dadi bua was born out of no where. Where was she in their struggling days? And she appeared out of blue with her nonsense morals and ethics to torture the newly wed bride.

I must say Dev is spineless. He can finish this kitchen politics withing few minutes. Just need to open his mouth and ask all kitchen leaders to live and let live. Whether her wife knows cooking, stiching etc shouldnt be their matter of concern. I can understand their kich kich attitude if they were living in a chawl, but aren't they high class society people? Afford 10 cooks, so why are they not letting new couple to enjoy their new life and appoint few cooks?

Yes-compare this with Ritwik and his father, who weren't bothered at all whether Sona could cook or stitch. They only looked at her qualities and the person that she was. Which is how it should be.
