This kitchen politics of ishwari is quite dangerous. Hope sona doesn't get badly trapped in it. And this dadi bua was born out of no where. Where was she in their struggling days? And she appeared out of blue with her nonsense morals and ethics to torture the newly wed bride.

I must say Dev is spineless. He can finish this kitchen politics withing few minutes. Just need to open his mouth and ask all kitchen leaders to live and let live. Whether her wife knows cooking, stiching etc shouldnt be their matter of concern. I can understand their kich kich attitude if they were living in a chawl, but aren't they high class society people? Afford 10 cooks, so why are they not letting new couple to enjoy their new life and appoint few cooks?

EXACTLY...and especially the last part...he is a millionaire...why on earth should his wife be lady Sanjeev Kapoor and that too overnight...should not that be her own choice??

I wrote in another post also that Bijou through his own stupidity and inane sense of so called moral and intellectual superiority is giving Ishwari an opportunity to strike back on his daughter.
A snake's nature is to bite. You can't go dance in front of it and then complain it bit me.

Ishwari is a Grade A poisonous female king kobra who acts like a Saint. I will not compare her to a Wolf in sheep's clothing as their standard is much higher than her.

When Bijoy being a sixty year old man had realised the true extent of Ishwari's deceit, cunning and depraved obsessive mentality for her son why did he let the marriage happen? He should have firmly refused.

If he felt forced to give in for his daughters happiness why did he give the naagin called Ishwari so many golden opportunities to strike his daughter just to appease his own sense of right and wrong.

Where Ishwari's love is poisonous, Bijoys love is tainted with pride. And the sole sufferer due to these cases of misplaced parental love is Sonakshi

You are both right. My Dida says, "Every woman should have a passion because idle mind is the house of Satan".

My Dida's passion is traveling. Even at 75 years of age, she keeps traveling. My mother like knitting baby sweaters, hats and socks which I think she picked up to subtly remind me to make her grandma soon. My aunt likes to learn new things, she just finished a course in photography from New York School of Photography. My mother-in-law's passion is playing games in her iPad. My passion is reading and writing.

We all keep busy with our passion and life, hence we don't have time to play kitchen politics. We have far more interesting things to do than fight over petty things.

But Ishwari only has one passion, Dev. She is obsessed with everything to do with him. His happiness, his frown, his sadness, his food, his office, his wealth etc. So much so that she doesn't want to even let anyone take even a millimeter of him.

That's why in spite of having cooks and servants, she still keeps cooking and cleaning and running after Dev as if he is 5 years old.

If she had a passion like may be learning to cook different cuisines with vegetarian twist or whatever, she won't be playing petty games because she will be busy with something else.

I agree to your post like always. 🤗

Today's episode highlights for me -

1. Ishwari and Sona Kitchen issue - Well this is one of the most real incidents which happens with many now-a-days. Happened with me, my MIL did everything which people were expecting of me cuz like Sonakshi, even I didn't know anything 😒. I loved my MIL's help though 😊 I liked Ishwari as well. I liked her explanations about how she cant help Sona in what Sona excels. This is correct. And I liked how she told Sona that after DB leaves, prepare anything and feed Dev 😆 😎. Hope she doesn't mind when Sona feeds burnt roti and undercooked daal to Dev, it's a couple issue, hope Ishwari will have fun from outside instead of singing 'mera beta mera beta' 😆 I also MUCH appreciated her scene when she asks Sona not to come down for DB 😳 She is truly learning to be a good MIL and I can finally smell the old Ishwari here who is 'actually' a good human being by heart but all her emotions go for a toss when it concerns Dev 😊 I agree with the part that lies and deceptions don't take us anywhere, but the sad reality is - no one takes a step to convince the older generation, rather does all these to protect their beliefs howmuchever meaningless and rotten they are at times. Change is one of the main aspects of Dharma. Change is inevitable. Oldies who refuse to change themselves with time should be told and shown the reality. We have Dadi (Sonakshi's Daadi) at one side who is like a bliss ! And then the same show has DB on other side 😵 I wished Ishwari and Sona had the ability to call a spade a spade with politeness, but the fact is, in reality also many of us succumb to such situations and take the shelter of lies and deception just to escape the drama for the time-being 😒

Ishwari's reason behind helping Sonakshi - This is a major concern for me. Sonakshi is not a trophy won by Dev. 🤔 Ishwari has a long way to go before she gets the right reason for her right actions like today's. If Ishwari wants to save Sona from people like DB, it should be for Sonakshi or for her, Dev shouldn't come in between 🤔 But her repeating it again and again that Dev's choice can't be bad, Dev's favorite can't be looked down upon, Dev's decision can't be questioned, Dev's toy should be kept safe - was really alarming. I guess Sonakshi did get a hint of the obsession today when Ishwari was in her usual 'Dev Dev Dev' mode with that proud smile Sonakshi has her own existence, she is NOT just Dev's property to be taken care of. Although for once/twice it was fine, but Ishwari repeating it everytime that she would love/accept Sona because it's Dev's choice - is really annoying and is gonna hurt Sona bad The problem is - If Sonakshi argues back on this that how would it sound to Ishwari if she says she has to accept Ishwari because she is Dev's mother - this argument is gonna fail with Ishwari. She is proud to be Dev's mother, that's her only reason of existence on this earth. It's gonna take quite long time for Sona to convince Ishwari that she is a separate entity and Ishwari needs to respect/accept Sona for what she is, not for who she is of Dev.

All in all, I liked tonight's episode 😊

Sona is trying to do what Ishwari is saying even though it is against her nature to lie just like she'd if Asha had asked her to do something. She thinks like most of the audiences that like Asha, Ishwari had her best interest in her heart. But she has not understood her tricks yet.

i absolutely have no trust on ishwari even if her gesture looks selfless or for dev yet i cannot help getting that dreaded feeling that what is she planning to do now..and especially after the pre nup deception

she is swinging between extremes...her obsession for dev and her God like image before all not just dev...right now she iis the ultimate sacrificing mother who has done everything to ensure her son's happiness...she keeps silent and endures everything bua does so that her image of the perfect DIL remains in her eyes...it matters a lot to her what people think of her and her son...

and true what you have written...sona cannot lie and she very well knows that everyone in this house knows she cannot cook...this is just a trap laid for her so that they can insult her some more...and even she knew how to cook for God's sake how on earth can the girl make north Indian dishes in such short notice..can ishwari make any of the bengali delicacies inspite of being such a good cook??can dadi bua make???but then she is too busy demeaning sona to be reasonable...i feel like just dragging that woman all the way to station and putting her on train with one way ticket...

sona should have humbly apologized that she cannot make them as she cannot cook but instead as said make a sweet dish and serve as it is her pehli rasoi...and ishwari should have the decency to tell the truth that she is new to all this ..but a hard working girl who would as time passes learn it all just like she learnt it from her dadi bua...

this lie will indeed put her in deeper mess and label her as cheater, liar and what not

and yup in all this as usual ishwari comes out shining even more brighter...wonder if dev can make any of this to save his mother's izzat as the izzat in dixit household seem to be depended on the qualities of others

and as i said in another thread the way dadi bua taunts her after exposing her lie it seems the entire dixit household have just come first in Masterchef...

the question directed at sona in the precap itself shows this was a trap laid down for sona and she fell in it head to toe...even if she answers correctly ,does she get any brownie points??naa...and iswari cannot be this naive not to realize that the people in her house cannot recognize her cooking??

we know she does not care for sona...but if she really cared for dev's izzat and pasand as well she she would have found another solution to this cooking drama...and let us be clear that the woman can be sweetly deceptive that she would win the game and yet gain all the sympathy as well..e.g. the alliance she send for sona, the begging on behalf of dev to sona and the whole non veg issue...

and even the shagun scenario she is going to come out smelling like a rose as the rest of the world indulges fighting in deep neck dirt

and such people are more dangerous than the likes of a GKB or even dadi bua..she does remind me a lot of ashar's mother in the show humsafar...

Dev can never balance between being a son and a husband because Ishwari will refuse to let him be both by always be on the opposite side of Sona. And when you consider a human being as God, how can you be unbiased? Dev will never be able to see clear picture where his mother is concerned and just like before, he will pick being a good son over being a good husband.

i agree with all you say. In bijoy's defense.. he has raised his daughter strong, capable of taking her own decsions with minimal interference. He tried to warn her to xpt ishwari's maafi and dev's lackthereof. But she got duped by mother/son. Once she agreed, ishwari showed up next day with 10 days after wedding date. Bijoywas the only one who said.. let things calm down. Let them c who my daughter is. He said.. whats the rush.. we can wait 6 months but asha, sona and rest were all ready to party 😡 Ishwari and her chamchas wont have it any other way. No discussionof what, where why really tookace. And the blame goes to dev and sona for not forcing moms to sit down and discuss rituals and their importance.

Ishwari is Manipulator with the biggest capital M 🤢 and only one suffering is sona. Cause its easy for Dev to either ignore or throw tantrum and walk away.. leave sonakshi to deal with his snake mom!

Can't get over this Women!!!

How she was praising Sona left and right after Dev spoke so highly of his wife... She says the perfect things in front of him! Ishwari is going to learn the hard way... I guessing there's more to come! And Khathri has still to make his presence

I wish Sona says the truth ..but all in all..Dev has to understand his wife's point of view,it's hard for a son who see his mother as his God, his pride, and most imp she manipulates everything so perfectly in front of him! I think the deceit in form of the papers she made him sign, could be a turning point, here!

Ishwari told her to lie.because of Dev's izzat, what about her conscience, her good will, her izzat! But something tells me, she will please her MIL, and she did observe her cook, so she will able to answer the questions!

Bijoy is a smart man. But he is not a worldly man. He is those old school gentlemen who had a strong sense of right and wrong, black and white. I wrote once that when Bijoy had already agreed for marriage, then he shouldn't paint a target on Sona's head by behaving rudely with her in-laws.

What he needs to say could have been communicated with politeness but firmly.

Anyhoo, Sona was in a hurry to enter into the trap. Now she will have to put up with whatever comes her way.
