Will watch his movie and subsequent interviews and decide 😉
Don't have much hope on Mirziya though and also that blind which said he is arrogant makes me think negative about him.

😲

I haven't seen the blind! Yeah though a lot of articles and interviews seem to hint that fact. Sometimes, I feel he has this deep stance and calmness as well. He seems a very sorted individual, maybe that is what comes off as arrogance.

Honestly, kinda meh for now.

Will have to watch him over a period of time to truly judge, but currently, just seems like a run of the mill star kid who wants to make it in BW.

There was a blind/news which said he puts his legs on the table while answering to journalists.

Coming to the arrogance issue, it probably stems from both Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor I presume. The arrogance is overflowing. Also, I tend to notice how they cannot hear a single critic about the family members. Even when asked about his father's "other commercial" movies, he flicks it off as saying 'fun, summertime, outdoor movies' when his facial expressions clearly show what he actually thinks about those movies. And let's not get into the whole his sister and Neerja comment.

I think more than critical acclaim, he's looking to emulate Aamir Khan's recent years. From his stance, he definitely wants to be both a star AND a praised actor. Less so for his acting, more so for the kind of movies he chooses. Something which struck me as variedly different from what Ranbir has been doing. RK looks for the actor/script in the movie first, and doesn't necessarily worry about the potential of the movie in itself, which explains the debacles that were Besharam and Bombay Velvet. One catchy point was the fact that HK said in this interview that he'll always choose a great director over a great script and that's quintessentially what he looks for before signing.

The confidence comes from years of being a movie buff.😎

It's a dud trailer and both him and the actress don't stand out for me.The dialogue delivery isn't impressive and the concept will fall flat as well.I feel a concept like this needed a bigger star and an experienced actor.

I didn't think of it but now that you mention,I agree, it will meet Saanwariya fate but RK showed potential even in that. I don't think HK will.

RK too says that he yearns to work with directors more than focusing on the story, it's the same for both I guess. This comes from SRK I think. He has always done that.Chosen directors/teams over stories. He has by far been the biggest risk taker of them all which has worked for him more often than not.

I know that seems cocky, but I find it hilarious. 😆

Right. We'll come back to this discussion this weekend then. I don't think it'll fare particularly well either, but this is ROM, might just hit the mark. However, I want it to fail just so that he gets his feet on the ground. He seems like a guy I can come to like eventually if he keeps it grounded.

And agreed, RK was something else even then. SRK is a risk taker, but sometimes I feel, I don't know, 'curious' might be a good word. For someone as smart as him, to not see the disaster that was 'Dilwale'? I mean, do you not see how bad it is? Or maybe the script was far better than the execution turned out to be. Kind of like Besharam for RK. We'll never know I guess. I want an interview where people ask him questions like those.

On SRK : Like I said, He chooses teams and not stories. Can't blame him really, for him so many trashy movies have worked - Main Hoon Na, HNY, Chennai Ex and the likes of it that after a while he may have lost perspective.

Most of these stars don't watch the final draft anyway. I'd blame the director. The team of Dilwale must have been waiting for magic, really.
