I really wish Indian society would understand equality and give women their freedom of choosing things, e.g. If to keep or change their name, be it their name and surname

I am also proposing that MEN must be allowed to change their middle name to their wives name and also men can go to live to woman's home

This is not over rated ...system must be balanced , nothing wrong

One's name is one's identity. It should be the woman's decision.

However the woman wishes to. I probably wouldn't. Too much paperwork nonsense to handle. Unless I move, then I would love to take up my husband's name alongside mine. I don't see the big fuss. It should be the woman's prerogative. Also, if men wish to change or hyphen their names, they should be allowed to as well. I don't know anyone personally who's done it, nor would I ever ask my husband to, but if a guy wants so, why not?

We should all follow Phoebe's example. Let yourself be named whatever you feel like. :)

For the children, hyphen it. That does sound like the trend all around nowadays anyway.
