Surbhi wasamazingin that moment and I can't believe that her words and feelings didn't resonate with women everywhere whoknowthat a large section of society will ALWAYS believe that a woman's role is in the home regardless of everything else she achieves in her life.

Ishqbaaz is sendingso manypositive messages about women be it the positive relationship between Jhanvi and Pinky, the fact that all the females in the younger generation get along really well and don't talk badly about each other (loool the cattiest character in the show by far is Rudra, bless him), the fact that Tia's reaction to seeing Malika in Shivaay's bed wasn't to turn into a psycho-villain and start wearing vamp eyeliner and plotting Malika's murder but instead being angry atShivaayand confronting him directly after taking a bit of time to cool her head... tbh everything about Tia being so authentic albeit her representing the Instagram-society which DOES definitely exist in her social class I love.

For Gul's own sanity she should probably just stay away from forums and keep on doing her thing loool, after all, even if people complain- at least it means they're watching, right?😆

GK had tried this in QH too and its commendable that without trying to create melodrama for TRp, she s still trying it this way despite the cut throat competition for TRP.

And people who are criticising her saying this track had halted the story of IB from going forward, i would like to point out that the story is progressing even during this track.. Shivika s story had progressed.. and thats needed for the actual story to move forward.

And even after this track ends, the story is not going to move forward at breakneck speed...coz this is a serial which is being planned to run for at least a year or may be years... if people want to see shows that has tight script and that move forward quickly, then the whole concept of Indian shows need to change from these long running ones to short finite serials..unless that happens shows will always drag regardless of what track goes on.

i totally agree with u

Amazing post. Totally agree with you.

For the part whether this cameo was needed or not. I believe this cameo was needed. The women empowerment track is awesome and real. I really loved they did that. They showed what actually goes on in the society. And this is undeniable that even after having educated mothers who push us to succeed there is always this concern in their minds for us, that we might not be able to adjust with our in-laws. That we are too rebellious for that. This is going to encourage much needed conversation.

Adjustment is essential but it should be two sided.

For the part whether she did something for ShivIka or not , here's what I think.

1.We all would agree that Shivaay loosened up around Mallika.

2.Anika saw that Shivaay can actually be nice to someone who is not family.

3.Shivaay saw Anika as someone other than a lower middle class girl. He saw a woman in her who is strong, independent & self sufficient. And it is undeniable that he respects that. He dated Mallika in the past, who is just like Anika, of course plus the fear of confrontation.Anika fears nothing.

4. They both saw that if they try they can work and exist without fighting each other.

5. Of course, next week we will see Mallika will make Shivaay realise his feelings. His saying Pyaar hai is not just a realisation but I feel he is confirming it. He didn't know what love is before as he had never been in love. And he knows that Mallika does.

And believe me no matter how much OmRu push him, sometimes we just need a friend to kick us with the reality.
