Omdays, I don't join in with any of the arguments that break out on the forum, but I just want to say that I love this post. When Mallika was telling Shivaay why she left Sidhharth and how painful it was for her to be disregarded by her future in-laws despite being the pride and joy of her parents' life, my heart cried for her. Surbhi was amazing in that moment and I can't believe that her words and feelings didn't resonate with women everywhere whoknow that a large section of society will ALWAYS believe that a woman's role is in the home regardless of everything else she achieves in her life.
Ishqbaaz is sending so many positive messages about women be it the positive relationship between Jhanvi and Pinky, the fact that all the females in the younger generation get along really well and don't talk badly about each other (loool the cattiest character in the show by far is Rudra, bless him), the fact that Tia's reaction to seeing Malika in Shivaay's bed wasn't to turn into a psycho-villain and start wearing vamp eyeliner and plotting Malika's murder but instead being angry atShivaay and confronting him directly after taking a bit of time to cool her head... tbh everything about Tia being so authentic albeit her representing the Instagram-society which DOES definitely exist in her social class I love.
I don't know, I feel like Ishqbaaz is actually sending some pretty great messages beneath the comedy and the squeal-inducing romance. For Gul's own sanity she should probably just stay away from forums and keep on doing her thing loool, after all, even if people complain- at least it means they're watching, right? đ
