Thank you for talking abt Adi's reactions, we are in 2016 the way he reacted was no better because rn he is judging her and I don't think that having a relationship before marriage makes you less respectable than any other woman.

Whether pushed or not Shravan was not right! Period!

Now onto Aditya I agree 100%. If he feels so strongly he can leave! he is self centred and obsessive, taan liya toh taan Liya, why enter into a relationship with so much suspicion

Awesome post, I agree.

I know I shouldn't have enjoyed the episode as much as I did. But the truth is: I did enjoy it. I had a blast.

Shravan-Aditya scene surprised me not because I was shocked that Shravan would behave this way but because of his dialogues. He was retaliating against Aditya, but what he said was not completely incorrect. Sure his tone was suggestive but what he said was true to an extent. Sumo and Shravan do behave like an old married couple. They are close friends. 10 years of being apart, but neither of them had a significant other. It was like, in their heads, they were fully committed, even if they hadn't admitted to it. Shravan was took one step further and insinuated physical relations.

What Shravan said and how he said it was not right.

But what about Aditya? Is it really that big of a deal if Sumo had an ex-boyfriend? Yes, Shravan insinuated something romantic between them. But, we all know, Shravan and Sumo's feelings for each other are beyond platonic as you said.

If Sumo did have a past, is it still justified of Aditya to scare her and molest her?

I was waiting for something like this to happen from the episode when Shravan said that he would be tedha and think only about himself. To hell with the world! Seeing as how Nirmala hurt him in this episode, Shravan was bound to explode.

I beg to disagree I am fine with her as she is.. there are lots of selfish mothers in the world, have been, are and will be so its nice to see some reality here for a change.
Also it explains why Aditya is such a pyshco...She dots on a 25 something year old like he is 3 ... He was probably a freak to start with and her attention has just made him narcissistic!

@Bold...This is where I wish they had kept Shravan's dialogues deliberately vague...He could've just insinuated they were like a married couple and shared everything with one another and let Aditya assume whatever he wanted to...

But at the end you know what hurts me? Not the fact that Shravan said those things about Sumo but the fact that how a woman is perceived. If she had a past with someone, she is deemed unfit to marry. Aditya was shocked that they were lovers. Many might not agree with me but I see physical intimacy as a part of the relationship and it's their CHOICE. How does it matter if it was done before or after marriage? Why is it perceived as such a taboo? Is it not completely human and normal to want it when you love someone? I may not want it but that does not hold true for everybody..

Aditya will most probably judge Suman severely. HE will NOT believe her when he ideally should since he claims he loves her and is marrying her. Who is Shravan to him? Why believe him? But he will believe him over Suman and the result we already know! But shouldn't it NOT matter cause she is ultimately marrying Aditya. He is going to be hers and she, his forever.

Yes. of course, had Suman confided in him he wouldn't have behaved this way but then guys, would we have any story left after that? 😳

I agree that it could have been shown tastefully but I don't blame the outburst. But then, this is just my take.

Loved your post especially the lines @bold. Very well balanced! The thing which irked me ever since Aditya got to know about Shraman from K chachi was his ice age mentality. He literally lowkey s**t-shamed Sumo with his never ending inquiries and what not on the day the wedding date was fixed. HE is the full-blown MCP in this show after Ramnath and that's well established. But that doesn't absolve Shravan's abominable behavior at all; that he took Sumo for granted without her consent with respect to such a sensitive issue such as sharing intimacy on a physical realm and spoke at length about his imaginary dalliances with her so as to disillusion Adi. It was a way below the belt behavior for an Oxford educated, decorated lawyer and can't be justified from any angle IMHO! What I saw today was prostitution of the pen, the coup de grace of a beloved character Shravan Malhotra😒
