IMO nothing can achieved without talent and hardwork . Be it Deepika or Kangana ,they achieved it through perseverance. Deepika struggled a lot after her first movie , she is not the best actress in BW right now but she is not a mediocre actor too , she is in top because she is a complete Bollywood package. And I refuse to believe that because of marketing tactics a person with average looks , acting and dance got into top 3 position .

^just to know you get your facts straight...Deepika never really have to struggle after her first film. the success of that film payed her way quite easily into bollywood...there hasn't been a single year that she didn't have a release do your research properly. she kept getting one film after another and all of them were A grade film. does it happen to every actress. Nope @ There's a high amount of validity when it comes to make contacts in bollywood. she was a model and so as anushka and priyanka why are all models getting easily welcomed here. Even models have agreed that it's all about contacts. one model gaurav arora even confessed that he went on to sleep with so many people (indirectly he confessed) to find foot hold in bollywood. You don't need talent here...and hardwork every profession has hard work. so you can't count that. people can be blindfolded and believe what they want to but reality is much darker in bollywood than they think it is

Some people behave as if only Deepika had to compromise and rest all top actress got movies because of talent/hotness/beauty.

Not only DP, every actress sleeps around and actor too but I am keeping it to actresses since the thread is about actors.. every single one of them had to compromise.. and yet it is DP only who is at the top along with Kangu.. has to be a reason.. its not all about sleeping only.. thora kaam bhi karna parta hai😆

I never said Deepika slept and made her way...may be she did or not but her contacts made her way be it by sleeping or anything whatever...and every actress sort of have to build contacts anyways how are you going to survive here...not all actresses can manage everything greatly. Please someone tell me how did she make into hollywood 😆 don't tell me its about her no'1 position in bolly because those people give a damn let me see what she does in XXX and the world will see what sort of recognition she really gets. will get the same apple like anil kapoor and irrfan khan for their movies 😆

i never understand why looks is given so much importance for 'actors'...actors are supposed to act ..yes they should look pretty enough to grab attention...thats why have we have 'hot looking' girls like jaqueline doing only two-three scenes including dance numbers in a movie and call themselves heroine...but when they act they don;t look pretty at all..cos they don't connect with the audience with their performance...

She's strictly ok. She does look beautiful at times , but not always. I liked her in piku but she looked like a man n acted terribly in bajirao.
