I agree that she's extremely overrated in everything especially acting and beauty. She's good in few of her movies but mostly she acts bad or average. You can take BM as an example she was sleep walking in the whole movie. Beauty wise she's pretty and all that but not the prettiest women in the world. Which most of people especially her fans says(at least as far as I have seen on social media sites her fans are arrogant but again I can't say all her fans are like that Because I don't know all of them) Their are many Bollywood actresses who are prettier then her and can act tremendously better then her. Her body is basically just bones I don't know why most people say her name when asked for most fittest actress.

spot on...when we talk about bollywood we shouldn't call it the indian film industry. we have much talented actors in industry which is widely spread and classified in regional areas. Yes regional actors in tamil, telugu, punjabi acts much better than these people because in bollywood you don't need talent to work upon. its all about your contacts. how brilliant do you market yourself. it will be laughable to say that you get a new film on the basis of talent. And Deepika's case is nothing more than that. She is a great 'contact' in marketing and not an actress. and after her someone else will carry her league.

I saw her in 'OSO'. She was pathetic. Thought she wouldn't last 2 movies.
Years later in Piku, she stole my breath away. That before-last movie scene with Irfaan at whatever coffee table - whoever says she can't act should watch that on repeat.

An opinion about an individual's personal life and controversies have nothing to do with their onscreen performance. I utterly dislike Kareena for example. I think she is hugely overrated as well. I still loved her performances in 'Omkara' and 'JWM'.

Learn to give credit when it's due. Actors have highs and lows. She might not be the greatest female actor, and sure Bollywood have had better, but she's not as bad as she's being portrayed.

She's actually one of the few I'd put my bet on right now. She's become that good.

Fair enough you have your opinion. But she's far from overrated. From her debut no one would of thought the long way she would come. She came as an average actress. She had nothing to her name except maybe her looks. She paved her way in and just got better. If you think she's expressionless, then I'm at a loss of words. If she is expressionless then what is Ka...maybe I shouldn't even go there. :P

Power of Deepika! She deserves all the success she's getting!
