She came out of the washroom, wearing a kurti and leggings, wiping her wet hair, to see Yug watching a match. Before she could say anything, he said, his eyes stuck on the screen

"tum chahe jo bhi keh lo, I am not changing the channel." He looked up to see her confused expression.

Seeing her dressed like that, made his heart skip a beat. He looked at her, as if she were an angel, who had just arrived on earth. She looked at him in confusion and sat on the bed.

Kali, "India versus Bangladesh match... Hum bhi dekhenge..."she said making cute faces and Yug just smiled.

The two had a gala time watching the match. Finally, the innings ended.

Yug, "Ab aadha ghanta third umpire hoga..."

Kali nodded.

Yug, "Kali, ek sawaal hai... Tumhara naam Kali hai yaa Kaali?"

Kali looked at him, thinking of an answer.

"I can't tell you everything now Yug... Mujhe todha waqt lagega...all I can say is that, Kali mujhe unhone naam diya tha, jo mere existence ki sole reason hai..."

She said and smiled sadly. Yug didn't reply, knowing that no words would do any good to heal the wound he had just scrapped.

Kali didn't join him to watch the second innings. Yug never really knew where she was, and in these few days, had understood that she would never tell anyone what was the reason of her sadness, except herself, so chose to let her be.

But for some reason, he felt uncomfortable. He liked to be alone, but this loneliness was too depressing.

He went outside, to be in fresh air, where the manager informed him that Kali was in the garden. He thanked him and went to the garden, to see her sitting on the bench, tears in her eyes. He just sat next to her. She felt his presence and looked at him.

"Tell me Kali, apni zindagi ke 22 years ka dard, aise dil mein mat rakho. Share it, you'll feel better."

Kali wiped her tears and sighed. The old memories flashed infront of her eyes.

"I am there Kali, I promise you, that you won't be alone anymore." Her friend said to her. He held her hand. She nodded. Slowly, memories found words, and words let out the pain in her heart.

"Hume humare Maa-Baapu ke baare mein kuch nahi pata, sivaay itna ki ek beti hone ke dukh mein, aur usse kaise sambhaalenge, iss chinta mein uss kisaan ne ek navjaat bacche ko Zameen mein gaad diya. She looked at Yug, who was shocked to realize that Gauri and Kali weren't real sisters. She nodded her head to confirm it.

She couldn't control the sobs that escaped her mouth. She covered her face with her palms. Yug looked at her sadly, understanding what she wanted to say. But he was shocked. How could a small child undergo so many ordeals? He mentally thanked Kali's Manjimaa for being with her during the most delicate span of her life...her childhood.

Before he knew it, Kali hugged him. He was surprised. He looked at his sobbing wife and wrapped his arms around her. She cried her heart out. Unknowingly, Yug held her closer to himself.

She realized that she was hugging him. She stopped crying and broke the hug. She looked at Yug, who just smiled at her. That smile made her feel better.

Kali said guiltily, "I am sorry."

"kyun?"

Kali looked down awkwardly. He shook his head.

" Kali, we are friends remember?" He tried to lighten the mood "Friends hug kar sakte hai and I am sorry, I shouldn't have asked you,"

Kali, "Nahi Yug, I am feeling better. I don't know, but aisa laga jaise, pata nahi, I can't express myself now, but I am feeling better. Thanks."

Yug nodded.

Yug, looking at the sky, " Andar chale, it looks like it will rain."

They stood up. Kali kept walking. He stared at her retreating figure.

Yug, "Kali, I promise that I won't ever let you face the trauma ever again. I promise..."
