Recap of Part 13: Sanjam is introduced as Hasmukhlal - sarpanch of Seetapur and as Sanyogita's childhood friend to Prithvi. Prithvi feels jealous of him. And Sanjam is also introduced as Jaichand's friend to Sanyogita by Payal and as Lakshman(who is punished) to Maya maa. This is another plan to reunite Prithvi and Sanyogita.

"Delhi??" Jeevan asked. He was near the temple, talking to the soldiers of Seetapur. Everyone were quite tensed. On the other side of the temple, chaos of people was audible clearly. Arrangements for that night's music and mehndi was almost done. Fire was lighted in the centre and mats were laid around it. Many torches were burning around.
"Ji sarkar..... woh musafir behoshime kuch aaaise hi 'Delhi ke jasus' karke kuch bol raha tha." said one of the soldier.
"Jasus?" Jeevan said resting his hand on a tree near by. "Matlab maharaj Abhay Singh ka aandaz sahi nikla toh." He got engaged in some thoughts looking at the crowd. Nobody spoke for sometime.
After making some decisions he turned "Tum." he pointed at one soldier "Tum jao aur abhi ke abhi yeh baat maha mantri ko batao." He spoke in low voice since there were some people near by.
"Jo hukum." That soldier bowed down and left.
"Hume aur chaukanna rehna hoga." He said looking around at other soldiers. "Kal mehmaan ....."
He was distracted by some kids who passed by them, chasing each other playfully.
He remembered something "Hume khabar rakhni hogi kahi Hasmukhlalji aas pass toh nahi. Uss bache ko dhundne yaha se dur bheja tha unhe."
People were gathering on the other side. Laughter and noise increased. Jeevan stared in that direction again.
One soldier came forward "Humne suna woh ladka, Ishanya, mil chuka hai. Hasmukhlalji ke jo naukar hai weh keh rahe the."
Jeevan lifted his hand and looked at him "Achha?" He smirked. "Iska matlab woh Hasmukhlal bhi ab tak yaha aaye honge, uhne dhundo aur unka kaam unhe samjha do."
Jeevan again leaned on the tree. "Unhe kisi kaam mein uljhyae rakhna hi hamare liye achha hai, tum jaa sakte ho."
"Ji." saying this that soldier left.
Jeevan again stood thinking. Then again he turned at other soldiers who were waiting for his orders "Aur woh do musafir, jo pul tutne karan kal yaha ruke thhe, unka kya?"
"Weh log ab kahi nazar nahi aa rahe." answer came from someone around.
"Hoge yahi kahi, unhe bhi dhundo." He became tensed. "Aur Madan se bhi baat karni hai, pata nahi woh hai kaha" Jeevan said shaking his head.
While walking towards the temple, Prithvi told Arjun and Pundir about Madan, Jeevan and Mahamantri and also about his doubt on them. They decided to keep on eye on Payal and Sanyogita too, because Payal was still in danger. But also Sanjam was explained everything, so he decided to be there with Sanyogita and Payal for their safety.
Prithvi, Arjun and Pundir were stopped twice by people enquiring about Hasmukhlal. First by two men in black suit whose faces were somewhat dusty and tiredness was appearant in their eyes and second time by one soldier of Seetapur. Prithvi replied that he might be at the function. He wondered why Hasmukhlal is with Sanyogita, leaving aside his work, for so many people are searching him. He decided to ask him to go back to his work or whatever and leave his Sanyogita. Arjun and Pundir hoped that Sanjam has named himself Hasmukhlal, should remain only upto six of them.
Prithvi and Sanyogita, who decided to reach bhajan function late or avoid it, reached the place before time. Enviornment was noisy. First thing they did after reaching the sangeet place, was, that they spotted each other and gave a sigh of relief. Sanyogita also searched for maya maa and she saw her somewhat away busy with bhajan group. It was a relief for sometime. It seemed other people around were busy among themselves and so no one noticed Prithvi and Sanyogita, who were constantly looking at each other.
There was much more to discuss among the people that night, among which two important topics were excitement of the next day, when some kings and queens were going to visit the Utsaav and about Ishu and Karan. Ishu's mother blowed up this issue and more people were involved in searching him. Finally his mother caught him hiding on a tree above their tent. Many people were angry on him. His mother punished him for creating havoc. She tied him on the chair in their tent and he was restrained from enjoying the Bhajan function and also next day's activities. Hashmukhlal was no where seen. Many people including Hasmukhlal's servants were searching him. All these discussions were in the air.
Prithvi spotted Madan in the crowd and indicated this to Arjun and Pundir, but after some time Madan disappeared. Prithvi, Arjun and Pundir moved around in different directions. Prithvi's eyes were also searching for Maha mantri and Jeevan everywhere. At the same time he was keeping a watch on Hasmukhlal and his actions. Each time he saw Hasmukhlal and Sanyogita together, he felt uncomfortable. Payal noticed that and cracked unnecessary jokes and made Sanjam laugh with Sanyogita. Sanjam too glanced at Prithvi and when Prithvi caught him looking at him, Sanjam avoided eye contact, which made Prithvi to doubt him even more. Prithvi wondered what discussions must be going on between them. Unable to gather any paitence of waiting for Hasmukhlal to leave Sanyogita alone, Prithvi started moving there.
"Ji woh ladki wahi hai."
"Kisi sunsaan jagah par le aao usse."
"Jo achha."
"Aur yeh sandesh tambu mein chod aao. Maya maa aapne kaam mein vyast malum padti hai."
"Sanyogita ruk jao" Prithvi called her when she ignored him and started moving in other direction. Payal and Sanjam did not move.
Sanyogita stopped and turned around. Prithvi moved near her.
"He he he HUH" Sanjam came between them. He was hiccupping due to over eating.
"Tum mere raste se hat jao." said Prithvi in plain tone.
Sanjam folded his hands "HUH" and hiccupped again.
Prithvi gazed at him. "Mujhe isase baat karni hai."
Sanjam did not move.
"Waha bahot log tumhe dhund rahe hai, apna kaam chod ke yaha kya kar rahe ho tum?" Prithvi told him getting irritate.
Sanjam Panicked and unfolded his hands "HUH Kaun dhund raha hai hume?"
"Hasmukhlal apne saare kaam niptake hi hamare saath yaha aaye hai." Payal answered.
"Ha HUH."
"Arey yeh rahe dono." Ishu's mother cried joyfully when she spotted Prithvi and Sanyogita. Many faces turned at them.
Shraddha chachi from other corner shouted "Ishu ki aamma, sabko toh aa jane do."
"Ha thik hai didi."
Ishu's mother went near Sanyogita. "Kahi jana mat, yehi rukna, mein sabko yehi le aati hu."
Sanyogita was tensed, she did not reply back.
Ishu's mother smiled at Prithvi and Sanyogita disappeared in the crowd.
Sanyogita looked at Prithvi "Payal, Hasmukhlalji chaliye, hum kahi aur jake rukte hai, yaha bheed bad gayi hai."
She started moving, she wished to go and occupy safest place, where Maya maa won't come and she can watch Prithvi too.
"Sanyogita" Prithvi again called her.
"Tum hamara picha mat karo samjhe." Sanjam pointed his finger at Prithvi near his nose and touched it.
"Mujhe koi shauk nahi hai tumhare pichha karne ka." Prithvi said flatly and dusted Sanjam's hand.
"Toh phir jao yaha se." Sanjam raised his voice in different tone.
"Mujhe.."
"Kya baat hai Lakshman?" Payal asked making serious face.
"Mujhe Sanyogita se kuch baat karni hai." Prithvi told her.
"Toh?" said Payal and Sanjam together.
"Toh?" Prithvi looked at her. He was indicating Payal and Hasmukhlal to leave them alone, so that he could talk to Sanyogita.
"Par hume tumse koi baat nahi karni." Sanyogita said and was about to take turn, when Prithvi again called her "Sanyogita ruko toh."
"Isne kaha naa HUH, yeh tumse baat nahi karna chahti." said Sanjam.
"Tumhe bich mein bolne ki koi jarurat nahi hai."
"Tum aaj kal ke ladke, Khubsoorat ladki dikhi nahi ke baat banana shuru, pehle jao yaha se."
"Pehle tum Appni bakwaas band karo."
"Humse ghustaki HUH" saying this Sanjam confidently came in front of Prithvi. He curled his moustache and folded his sleeves. Thankfully he did not touch his beard "Tum jante nahi hum kaun hai, chup chap chale jao yaha se."
"Tumhari baat sunana mein jaruri nahi samajta, behtar yehi hoga ke tum apni hadd par mat karna."
"Warna kya..."
Prithvi shot an angry look at him. Sanjam fearfully moved and stood behind Sanyogita.
"Dekha" Sanjam looked at Sanyogita "Dusrone baat karna nahi aat isse. samajta kya hai yeh aapne aap ko?" Sanyogita nodded her head watching Prithvi, agreeing on what Hasmukhlal said.
"Yeh toh sach mein ek... ek.....HUH woh kya hai yeh?" Sanjam looked at Prithvi.
"Bidga raiij." Naturally these words came out from Sanyogita.
"Ha ha bigda raiij." Sanjam said in irritating tone. "He he he"
He again came forward and stood between Sanyogita and Prithvi.
Payal giggled, she was searching Arjun and Pundir.
Prithvi loved it when Sanyogita called him bigda raiij. But he did not like these patent words of Sanyogita for him, to be usd by someone else, and never by Hasmukhlal.
"Tum mujhe bigda raiij nahi bulaoge, mera naam Lakshman hai." He did not know what else to say.
"Bidga raiij HUH Bidga raiij..." Sanjam moved more forward. "Kya karoge tum?"
Prithvi raised his hand and was about to punch him hard on his face, but controlled himself, thinking that he is elder to him. He stared at Sanjam and again realised he had seen him somewhere. "Tumhe pehle kahi dekha hai?" said Prithvi.
Payal who was giggling and enjoying, became alert.
"Yehi kahi dekha hoga Lakshman. Bahot kaam hai naa inke sar par, isliye yaha waha ghumte rehte hai." Payal said.
"Ha,,, aur hum inke khaas dost hai samjhe tum." Sanjam pointed at Sanyogita. "Aur tum, Tum kaun ho?"
Prithvi looked at her but she kept quite. Though she did like Hasmukhlal calling her special friend.
"Tum yeh kya karne ki koshish kar rahi ho?" Prithvi asked her, ignoring Sanjam.
"Ab hum aasu nahi bahayenge, udaas bhi nahi rahenge aur kush reh ke dikhayenge." said Sanyogita looking at him over Sanjam's shoulder.
"Koi jarurat nahi hai." said Prithvi with raised voice.
"Kya???" Sanyogita, Payal and Sanjam cried together.
"Mera matlab hai" he lowered his voice. "Tum khush raho par iss tarah..."
"Hum iss bigde raiij se ulhlajke aapna waqt barbaad kar rahe hai....Kyun San... sanyogita?" Sanjam clearly called her in front of Prithvi.
"Ha chaliye." Said Sanyogita looking at Prithvi.
Prithvi felt angry to hear Hasmukhlal calling his sanyogita by her name and something was boiling in him when Sanyogita took Hasmukhlal's side.
"Bigda raiij HUH."
"Bahot hua Hasmukhlal." Hasmukhlal was about to turn his back at Prithvi, when Prithvi stopped him by keeping hand on his shoulder and threatened him uncontrobly. "Ab tum apni jabaan band rakhna, warna..."
Sanjam swallowed hard.
"Lakshman tum Hasmukhlal ko jante nahi ho, tum inka kuch bigaad nahi paoge." Payal said.
Prithvi removed his hand from his shoulder again considering the fact that he was elder to him.
"He he he... dekha Sanyogita, sirf baaton mein dum hai.... bigda ra..."
Now Prithvi moved forward angrily and hold his collar tightly.
"Bachao... HUH" Sanjam cried looking at Payal and Sanyogita.
Payal turned around and keeping hand on her mouth giggled silently. She was enjoying and searching for Pundir and Arjun to enjoy this scene.
"HUH"
"Mujhe aur ghussa mat dilao tum."
"Pri... Lakshman??" Sanyogita moved forward and hold Prithvi's hands. "Chodo inhe, yeh kya kar rahe ho tum?" She asked surprisingly.
Payal again turned at them.
"Arey wah Sanyogita, ek toh yeh ulti sidhi baat kar rahe hai bechaare Lakshman se aur.."
"Tumhe Lakshman ki tarafdaari karne ki koi jarurat nahi hai." said Sanyogita cutting her.
"Tum nahi janti Sanyogita yeh mere pass aake tumhare baare mein kya keh raha tha?" Prithvi shook him hard.
"Juth..... hum aaisa kyun HUH." Said Hasmukhlal trying to breathe. He again looked at Payal again, but found that she did not wish to help him.
"Ha yeh aaisa kyun karenge?" Sanyogita asked Prithvi.
"Yeh ek jutha insaan hai... jo.." saying this Prithvi shook Sanjam even more.
"Pehle tum chodo inhe Lakshman."
Sanjam's upper part of body was moving to and fro like a pendulum.
Till then Arjun and Pundir came there. "Arey Lakshman, yeh kya ho raha hai?" Asked Arjun looking from Sanjam to Prithvi and giggled.
Sanjam looked at them, hoping at least they will stop Prithvi, but they did not.
"Kuch kiya isne Prithvi?" Pundir asked folding his sleeves back.
"Ha yeh..."
"Kuch nahi kiya inhone Pundir" Sanyogita said still holding Prithvi's hand "Chhodo inhe Lakshman, tumhe ho kya gaya hai?" Sanyogita hold Prithvi's hands tightly.
Prithvi looked down at his hands and realized what he was doing. He was not able to control his irritation and frustation. This thing never happenend with him before.
He released Sanjam, moved back and looked at all of them.
"Yeh tum kya kar rahe the?" Sanyogita asked Prithvi. She never remembered Prithvi loosing his temper for small things.
"Aap thik toh hai naa Hasmukhlalji?" She asked Sanjam, who somehow stood straight.
"Jaldi HUH chalo yaha se." Said Sanjam angrily looking at Arjun, Pundir and Payal.
"Aur Hasmukhlalji" Arjun called him. "Jyada jabaan mat chalana samjhe, varna tumhara yeh hasta hua chehra hoga aur Lakshman ki muthhi, Kyun Lakshman?"
Prithvi did not say anything.
"Aap tinoko inhe dhamki dene ki ya inpe koi ilzaam lagane ki koi jarurat nahi hai, inhone kuch nahi kiya hai." said Sanyogita watching Prithvi.
Prithvi turned his back at her in frustation. She too turned back showing attitude.
"Hasmukhlal apne daat sambhal ke rakhna." Punidr said in low voice so that Prithvi and Sanyogita could not hear.
"Pehle tumhare hi daat naa tod du mein." Sanjam whispered angrily coming near him.
"Hamari talwar hamesha hamaare saath rehti hai." Payal said standing between them.
"Ha janta hu tumhe talwarbazi aati hai."
Arjun kept his hand around Pundir's shoulder "Payal ke rehte tum Pundir ka kuch bigad nahi paoge Sanjam. Aur ab lagne laga hai yeh dono saath hi rahenge."
"Arjun??" Pundir and Payal called him, showing fake anger.
Arjun: "Majak kar raha hu, Hasmukhlal ko dara raha hu."
"Mein bhi koi dhundta hu, jo meri raksha kare tum logon se HUH."
"Dhundo dhundo"
"Yaha mat uljhiye, chaliye Hasmukhlalji." Sanyogita who was some distance away called him.Prithvi turned.
Arjun waved his hand indicating bye bye to Sanjam and left with Pundir. Payal moved near Prithvi
Sanyogita: "Tum bhi Chalo Payal."
Payal: "Hum Lakshman ke saath hai."
Sanyogita: "Nahi tum hamare saath chal rahi ho samjhi."
Payal: "Par hume ek jaruri baat karni hai inse."
Prithvi: "Payal?"
Sanyogita: "Chalo kaha naa?"
Prithvi did not react.
"Jaane do naa Sanyogita." Sanjam said. "Woh bigda raiij warna phir se bina waje haath uthayega."
Prithvi moved towards him.
"Bas bahot hua, mein keh chuka hu, mujhe bigda raiij nahi bulana."
"Jaldi niklo yaha se." Sanjam said scarily.
"Payal, humne kaha naa chalo hamare saath." Sanyogita did not wish Payal to be with Prithvi.
"Ha Payal tum jao inke saath." Prithvi too did want Sanyogita to be with Hasmukhlal alone.
"Tum keh rahe ho, isliye hum tumhari baat maan rahe hai."
Payal went away with Sanyogita and Sanjam.
Prithvi watched them going. He sensed something is wrong again. He felt helpless and weird since Sanyogita was concerned of Hasmukhlal and not him.
"Suniye aap jante hai Hasmukhlal kaun hai aur kaha hai?" One man came near him and asked him.
"Woh rahe" Prithvi replied pointing his finger at Sanjam with disgust look on his face.
"Kaha pe?"
Prithvi: "Woh jinhe kapde bhi thik se pehnna nahi aata, neele aur kale poshakh mein."
"Achha..." that guy replied.
Prithvi looked at him. His eyes were fixed on Hasmukhlal. Prithvi saw his right hand was on the sword which was in the case hanging on his waist.
"Kyun?? kya kaam hai?" Prithvi thought something is going on.
That guy went in Sanjam's direction without answering him. Prithvi stared behind him, but he got out of sight in the crowd along with Sanjam, Payal and Sanyogita.
Bhajan hadn't started, but some women had already started applying mehndi on each other's hands. There was happy enviornment everywhere. Cheerful faces were seen all the way. Since last two years this function was famous everywhere in north India and also it had religious values. Nagaon had specially invited many kingdoms to attend this function.
There was choas away from temple near some tents. More people were yet coming to the function and were busy in accomodating themselves in the tent. Accomodation volunteers seemed runnig here and there. For announcement task more children were hired, even some teenagers.
"Hasmukhlalji aap pani pi lijiye." Sanyogita asked Sajam.
"HUH HUH" Sanjam hiccupped.
Payal: "Lagta hai Lakshman ne dara diya aapko?"
Sanjam whispered "Tum toh mujhse baat hi mat karo."
"Waha pani hai dekho." Sanyogita pointed at some pots kept at some distance.
"Ha thik hai, mein pani pi ke aata hu HUH, par tum log kahi akele jana mat, yehi rukna."
He moved out from there quickly to drink water.
"Tum logon ne hamare dusare jagah ki jaanch ki?" asked Madan.
"Ha hatiyar surakshit hai."
Madan and his men were discussing in an isolated place. Only one torch was burning there otherwise it was complete dark every where.
"Hamare aadmi kahi bhi nazar nahi aa raha hai Madanji."
Madan wild face was clearly visible in the torch's light. He closed his eyes.
"Yeh sab ho kya raha hai? Kaha hum ek tir se do shikar karne chale thhe, aur ab dekho kuch bhi haath mein nahi hai hamare." In frustation Madan banned his legs hard on ground.
"Mauka milte hi ....." said the other one.
Madan went near him, hold him tight by his shoulders and shouted "Sirf yehi mauka hai hamare pass."
"Hum unhe phir se dhund lenge Madanji." said that guy with fear.
"Agar weh log yaha se chale gaye toh uhne dhundna mushkil hi nahi, NA MUMKIN HAI."
"Payal aap hi ho naa?" One small girl asked Sanyogita.
"Hum nahi yeh Payal hai." She replied back.
"Kya baat hai?" Payal asked.
"Aapko koi waha bula raha hai." That girl pointed in one direction.
"Hume? kaun?" Payal looked there.
"Waha uss tambu ke piche." saying this she went away.
Payal thought they might be Pundir and Arjun.
"Hum abhi aate hai Sanyogita, tum yahi rukna." Payal started moving there.
Sanyogita became suspicious. "Ruko Payal."
"Kya hua?"
"Akele kahi mat jao, hum bhi aate hai tumhare saath."
"Nahi koi baat nahi hai Sanyogita, hum....." Till then she spotted Arjun and Pundir and wondered then who is caling her.
"Humne kaha naa, hum bhi aa rahe hai tumhare saath." Sanyogita said stubbornly.
"Thik hai chalo."
Pundir: "Yeh Payal aur Sanyogita kahi nazar nahi aa rahe hai." He was looking worried.
Prithvi: "Abhi toh yahi the."
Arjun: "Par yeh Hasmukhlalji kaha hai?" He asked Pundir. Pundir blowed his shoulders.
Prithvi: "Unka naam mat lo mere samne." He said being irritate. Arjun smirked.
"Pundir chalo dekh ke aate hai, Arjun tum yehi rukna."
"Yaha toh koi bhi nahi hai." Payal said rotating.
In search of someone they came far away from the crowd. It was an isolated and dark place with only one torch burning. Tent too was empty.
"Hume yaha kuch thik nahi lag raha hai Payal, niklo yaha se." said Sanyogita looking around.
"Ha par....yeh.... Kisne kiya hoga yeh majak?"
"Payal??" Sanyogita said looking over her shoulder.
Payal turned around. Madan was standing there.
Payal recognised him. He was the same bald man whom she suspected as culprit from the beginnning. Some more people came there.
"Tum??" Payal slowly moved towards Sanyogita. They held each other's hand tight.
Sanyogita could sensed they were trapped in danger."Kya chahiye tumhe?" She asked gaining some confidence.
Madan ignored her and smiled at Payal.
"Hume yaha kyun bulaya?" Payal asked him.
"Humare raste mein jo bhi aata hai, hum unhe nahi chodte." He took out his sword and proceeded towards them. "Tambu se woh sandesh tumhi ne churaya. Hamare baare mein bahot kuch jaan chuki hogi tum, toh sawaal yeh hai ke ab tak tum jinda kaise?"
Payal pulled Sanyogita's hand and they started running from there, trying to escape. But till then some more men came there.
Payal took out her sword. Unfortunately Sanyogita left her sword in her tent.
Payal backed Sanyogita on her right. Two men raised their sword, but Payal and Sanyogita moved aside in opposite directions. Payal went near one of them and attacked him. Till then two more came from behind.
"PAYAL..... piche dekho" Sanyogita shouted and picked a big stone and hit one of them on his head. He was hurt, his sword fell down, Sanyogita quickly picked it up and hold at others.
Madan who just watching all this, came near them. Sanyogita hold the sword tight at him and stood in front of Payal. Payal turned around. Payal and Sanyogita were standing back to back.
"Aap hat jayiye."
Sanyogita moved back as he approached them. They were now surrounded by many around.
"Kaun ho tum log?" Sanyogita asked scarily.
"Yeh kayar toh Delhi ke jasuson pe chup chup ke vaar kar rahe hai."
"Kya??" Sanyogita was shocked.
"Kayar kahi ke?" Payal cried loudly.
She raised her sword and ran at two of them. She started a fight. Sanyogita hold her sword at one. He stopped and moved back. Sanyogita then ran towards Payal. Three men attacked Payal from back.
But they were stopped by Sanyogita, Prithvi and Pundir at a time. Prithvi and Pundir pushed them and they fell down.
"Tum thik ho naa Payal?" Pundir asked her.
"Ha" She replied. They moved ahead at others.
Prithvi looked at Sanyogita and was astonished. He had never seen her with sword before.
Madan who was doubting Prithvi as spy of Delhi, thought is the good opportunity and decided to finish him off too. He came forward.
"Toh Delhi ke Jasus haa....." He called out loudly.
Prithvi and Sanyogita turned around. Prithvi watched him with his jaw set.
"Ab tumhara khel khatam." said Madan and laughed.
Prithvi rotated his sword accepting his challenge.
Sanyogita too was in a ready position. "Tum ek taraf ho jao. Isse mein dekhta hu." Prithvi told her.
She obeyed him and moved aside.
Big sword fight broke between Prithvi and Madan. Their swords clangored.
Sanyogita saw Payal again in danger. "Payal" she ran there. In an attempt to save Payal, Sanyogita too gave a stroke of sword to one man across his chest. He fell down. Payal quickly stood up breathing.
Pundir took hold of others. Pundir, in two shots killed two men one after other. After that he fought two more. He got a cut on his other arm. He fell down on knees. Payal moved there and hurt one of them on his neck. Sanyogita went near Prithvi. He was on winning side. He had hold Madan by placing hand around his neck. His sword was in the same hand.
"Kaun ho tum? Kaunse rajya se ho? Hamare baarein mein kya jante ho?" Since Madan was trying to kill Payal, it was confimed to Prithvi that he was Delhi's enemy. Since Payal had stolen the letter from their tent, Prithvi knew that they considered Payal as spy of Delhi too.
"Yeh baat tumhe kabhi pata nahi chalegi."
Madan looked at Sanyogita. "Par ab aur kuch nayi baatein hume pata karni padegi."
He hit Prithvi with force in his stomach with his elbow. Prithvi tumbled behind.
Madan's wild eyes were fixed on Sanyogita. Prithvi could not tolerate that. He ran towards him and kicked him on his head. Blood splattered through his mouth. He balanced himself and again a sword fight broke between them. Prithvi got a sharp cut on his forehead and blood came out. Sanyogita was about to shout "Prithvi" but she controlled and instead covered her mouth with her hand. Prithvi with even more force attacked Madan. Noise of striking swords reverberated.
Two more proceeded towards him. Prithvi wounded Madan badly with his sword. His forehaed, chest and legs were bleeding badly. Madan's sword fell down, but he did not accept defeat and was again in a ready position. Prithvi too kept his sword aside and duelled with him. Holding Madan's head he dashed it against the tree. He kicked Madan in his stomach, Madan fell hard on the ground. In that time, Prithvi took charge of other two.
Pundir held one by his neck and twisted it.
Madan silently got up and moved towards Payal. He raised his sword at her. This time it was stopped by Jeevan, who reached there in time, following the noise. Jeevan had suspected Madan as dangerous to the function from the information he gathered. Since then he was in search of him.
Madan realised he was loosing, now that only two were left along with him, he ran away from there. Jeevan followed him. Of the two Prithvi killed one and the sword of other fell down. Pundir hold him and bumped his head on the tree. Prithvi ran behind Jeevan and Madan.
"Ab tumhara khel khatam ho chuka hai Madan." said Jeevan taking short quick breathes. Prithvi reached there, but he lurked behind a tree.
"Mein haar manane walon mein se nahi hu, Jeevan. Hamari taraf aa jao, tumhari Zindagi ban jayegi."
Jeevan angrily moved towards him and punched him on his face. His nose started bleeding. He fell down.
"Har insaan bikau nahi hota hai Madan. Aur kitne logon ko kharid chuke ho tum?" He hold his hair and raised his head. "Kiske liye kaam kar rahe ho tum? Yaha aatang phailane ki kya wajeh hai tumhari?"
Madan laughed though he was hurt badly. Jeevan released him and he collasped. Jeevan turned around till then Madan hold his legs and made him fall down. Madan crawled on him and hold his neck tight. Jeevan was not able to breathe. He moved his legs aimlessly like a crawling serpant.
Prithvi ran there and pushed Madan. Jeevan quickly got up and pushed Madan even more. Madan rolled on the ground. His head hit a big stone and he became unconscious.
Prithvi checked him whether he was really unconscious.
"Aap thik toh ho?" Prithvi asked Jeevan making him stand. Jeevan nodded his head. He stood leaning on a tree near by breathing heavily.
Till then Soldiers of Seetapur came there along with maha mantri. Payal, Pundir and Sanyogita too reached there.
Sanjam: "Prithvi aur Pundir unn dono ke piche hi gaye the naa, toh ab tak aaye kyun nahi?"
Arjun: "Mein bhi yahi soch raha hu."
Sanjam: "Mere khayal se hume jake dekhna chahiye."
Arjun: "Ha chalo."
Till one tall man called them.
"Hasmukhlal aap hai?"
"Ha hum hai." Sanjam said.
"Aapse jaruri baat karni hai." He said watching Arjun.
"Ha kaho."
"Yaha nahi chaliye hamare saath." And he started moving.
Sanjam and Arjun exchanged questioning looks.
Till then they heard someone was calling out "Lakshmanji", but did not pay attention there.
Sanjam: "Yeh kaha phasaya tum logone mujhe."
Arjun: "Humne phasaya nahi, aapna naam Hasmukhlal batake tumhi ne aapne aapko phasaya hai." He smiled. "Tumhara naam Hasmukhlal hai yeh sirf Sanyogita aur Prithvi ko hi pata ho. Abse tum sabko aapna kuch aur naam batana."
"Ha... mein dekh ke aata hu." Sanjam said.
And he was about to follow that guy when Maya maa came in front of him.
"Hum aapko kabse pukaar rahe hai, aapko sunayi nahi de raha?" she asked with some anger.
"Aaaaa..... nahi... ha" Sanjam got confused. then he remembered he had told his name as Lakshman to Maya maa.
Sanjam and Arjun looked for that guy who asked Hasmukhlal to follow him, but he disappeared. They ignored him and again turned at maya maa who was watching them with hands folded.
"Kya baat hai?" Sanjam asked.
"Aapki patni kaha hai?"
"Meri patni?? Aaaaa.... woh hogi yehi kahi." sanjam Panicked. He pointed at the crowd of women around.
"Jaldi jayiye aur unhe dhundiye, der ho rahi hai. Aapko saja sunake hum bhajan shuru karenge."
She did not wait for Sanjam to say anything and went away.
"Ab kya saja bhi mujhe hi khani padegi?"
Arjun laughed loudly.
"Ha shayaad, tumhe aur tumhari patni ko." He laughed even more. He knew everything is messed up.
"Ab ek patni kaha se lao mein?" Sanjam shouted in irritation.
