Hi all,
I always wanted to bridge the gap between the fairy tales and mythological events...I decided to work on that yesterday and it turned out like this..
The Sleeping Beauty of Treta Yuga | A Fairy tale
Long long ago in the kingdom of Ayodhya, there was divine music played and heard everywhere and everyone were dancing as if they had forgotten how to stand and world class delicious and succulent sweets and savories were being distributed to each and every household of Ayodhya.
They were all rejoicing the return of their Princes Ram and Lakshman and Prince Ram's wife Princess Sita and were excited for the much awaited coronation of Prince Ram.
As soon as the three entered the palace, a small, dark room in the corner of the palace grabbed the attention of Prince Lakshman in midst of all the splashing colors and lights around the palace. It was his room.
It was not just a room, it valued more than his life for him since there laid his bride sleeping all throughout these fourteen years taking his share of sleep in order to help him serve his elder brother Ram better.
He immediately ran towards the room after taking Ram's blessings and stood there in front of the room facing the shut doors, recollecting all the precious moments he spent with her : their childish fights, their lengthy conversations, their hug, their kiss and their love.
He prepared himself and opened his room door with a feverish haste and stepped inside but stood still in wonder and delight.
A princess laid there on the ground fast asleep, with her fair and beautiful face turned towards him.
She laid there just as she had sunk down to rest a fourteen years ago.
Prince Lakshman : Oh my beauty! Please wake up. Your husband is back and is at your service now.
There was no movement at all. This silence scared the prince. He slowly moved towards her and collapsed next to her bed within minutes and touched her hand.
Prince : Oh Princess of Mithila! My love! Please open your eyes. I now can't imagine a second without you dear.
As he said this, a tear rolled down his cheek and fell on her hand. The very moment was miraculous. The prince was now dumbstruck.
The princess's eyelids slowly quivered and the next moment her eyes opened. She looked up and saw the prince, when their eyes met she let out a little cry of joy.
Princess Urmila : Oh dear, At last you have come.
She paused for a minute to observe him. His eyes glowed and he was happy to hear her speak. She continued.
Princess : I have been dreaming and dreaming of you and I even thought you were never going to come to wake me up. What took you so long, My Dear?
The prince was in short of words to pacify her and he did all that he could do at that time.
He pulled her closer and hugged her gently. She hugged him back hurriedly.
They stayed there locked in a warm embrace for hours together.
Slowly she untangled herself from his strong grip and said : My Dear! I missed you so much. Did you miss me?
He nodded his head and impetuously planted a lingering kiss on her lips.
This marked the beginning of their happiness.
Soon the couple were blessed with two sons Prince Angadh and Prince Chandraketu.
Hope u liked it..Do let me know without fail..
