Appreciation for Surbhi

anika's character can be annoying and completely dumb

She's amazing. She makes Annika completely her own. I don't see any one else playing Annika with such elan. 😳

Not just her expressions. Those ridiculous hand movements. 😆

As for her character being unrealistic, I agree. But then again, I don't look for realism in TV shows (especially Indian ones). Supposedly her character is an imperfect derivative of Goddess Sita, so she will seem Devi like. But it's not like she's maahan or doesn't have flaws. To say that she is perfect would be looking at her very superficially.

She is selfish IMO. This is where her and Shivaay are fundamentally similar. Both are massively loyal to their family and could go to any extent to protect them (sometimes will go so far as to ignore everyone else and their problems). I will give two examples where she showed her selfish nature.

1) At the police station after being released from lock-up, she was given that chip and she threw it away without giving a damn. Despite knowing that it could be very important to someone?
2) The security lapse at the Oberoi mansion. She opened the door for Tia and left before Tia came back. Here she demonstrated that she does not care for safety of Oberois than at a mere professional level. Then later she wanted to go home to her bro Sahil, despite knowing that there is a big security threat in Oberoi mansion. Her priority was her bro, not the Oberois and their safety.

These are the biggest examples of her selfishness, second one being more illustrative. She has other flaws too, which I won't go into. But selfishness is her biggest flaw IMO...and by being selfish, she has demonstrated that she is not perfect or mahaan. Not at all.

I must say when i first watched her i was really disappointed bc i want better girl for Nakuul. I have liked him since PKDH. But surbhi changed mty perspective by her acting and comic timing. She is also very good in romantic scenes. I will never found her annoying as compared to other gul heroines (sorry my perspective) There is v thin line between Cheapness and Romance and I m glad NaRbhi are not crossing this line. 👏

Surbhi I liked her from qh as mute haya her expressions were so apt and nice

coming to anika the way sc devolved her acting and improved it is indeed applaudable ...

anika might be loud sometimes etcc but she's a strong character independently and I wouldn't want her to easily mellow for shiv...

her comic timing is worth mentioning...

nice post ...a positive posts like these for all characters is d need of the hour

I love Surbhi C ❤️ Her greatest strength as an actor here is she perfectly balances out the think line between OTT and chirpy. The character she plays runs in all dimensions, she handles it so well. So proud of Gul for sticking to SC. Gul now don't ruin Anika like you did with your previous FLs 😡
