I don't know if am the only one but the show has really gone for a toss the past few days..Why is every character being destroyed left, right and centre? 😕 What is up with glorifying the female lead at the cost of every other character on the show? If your concept was about a woman breaking free from a suffocating relationship and claustrophobic family, you are totally on the right path..But if you actually wanted to show a story where the viewers related to the 3 protagonists despite everything, you are failing big time..If I wanted to see a strong girl-blind mom-doormat son prototype, I have other options..From the initial promos, i assumed they'l deal with it in such a way that you feel for all the characters equally..Understand Dev's dilemma, Ishwari's insecurity and guilt and Sona's plight..I see none here..I only see an utterly selfish and psychotic mom, a doormat son who cannot stand up for himself and a girl who should be relieved about the break up rather than feel sorry for it..And am pretty sure thats not what the writers intend to show cos this dude requested the viewers to not judge Ishwari and understand her emotions 😆 If only you put in more efforts and wrote the characters with more sensitivity, you wouldn't be requesting the viewers to understand her..It would have happened on its own..The biggest failure of a writer is when you want ppl to sympathize with your characters yet you cant get them to feel even a tinge of emotion for them 😆 They probably used up all the sensitivity and creativity for the initial promos and the first 70 odd episodes cos i see none right now..Its easy to glorify one character and make you feel disgust for the rest..That happens in every saas bahu soap..Your talent lies in weaving a story where viewers relate to all 3 protagonists and understand why they took certain decisions..Unfortunately, this show has failed big time in that regard and now its only about how the female lead deserves better (which is the case with 99% of the shows on Indian TV)..Am sorry if am being harsh but Supriya deserves better..She is better than the rest of the cast combined and she is being reduced to play a character which has just become ridiculously uni-dimensional off late..

Its not about who deserves what..The show started off really well..Even when i found Ishwari disturbing, i could feel sorry for her at times..Now every single character is going over my head 😆

Word. Word. They are failing utterly when it comes to execution in the recent episodes. I feel like i am loosing the emotional connect with these 3 characters one by one slowly. I dont even want to talk about Ishwari. I thought its a story about mother's insecurities and how she will fight with those and comes out as a good MIL. Leave about good MIL or even a good mother, first at least show her as a good human being. I haven't seen a mother like Ishwari till now so i cant connect with her but being a mother i am not even able to understand or sympathize with her. Is n't it a failure from the execution pov? With each passing episode they are touching new low wrt Ishwari's character and making Dev as silent spectator & Sona mahan. They have lost the balance and sensitivity completely in the recent episodes(esp after ep100).

Why a son or daughter need to prove their responsibility towards their parents always? Parents doesn't have any responsibilities towards their kids or their happiness? Why Dev need to prove himself as a obedient & dutiful son every bloody single time and how long he will be feeding her ego & pride going through these endless tests? Show me one single instance where she proved herself as a good mother to any of her kids? Don't even try to justify or glorify Ishwari's acts after the upcoming pills drama. This is going to damage the show very badly because even viewers will have certain tolerance level in taking crap.

They probably used up all the sensitivity and creativity for the initial promos and the first 70 odd episodes cos i see none right now..Its easy to glorify one character and make you feel disgust for the rest..That happens in every saas bahu soap..Your talent lies in weaving a story where viewers relate to all 3 protagonists and understand why they took certain decisions..Unfortunately, this show has failed big time in that regard and now its only about how the female lead deserves better (which is the case with 99% of the shows on Indian TV)..Am sorry if am being harsh but Supriya deserves better..She is better than the rest of the cast combined and she is being reduced to play a character which has just become ridiculously uni-dimensional off late..

I respect your POV and I understand we want our favorite actors to play a role where we can glorify them. But do we know it's them the actors who chose their role, it's them who read the script and determine if they really need to accept it or not. And I am sure they must have considered things like how their role is going to contribute them as an actor and their career. In a way we cannot blame writer/director for butchering their characters. The actors know beforehand what their role is and their duty is to give justice to the role in a best possible way, and that is what Supriya jee is doing. As a viewer I freak out too as I am so much attached to these characters, but the only thing I can do at this moment is to trust them and hope for the best.

I have no issues with the break up tbh..Everyone knew this was bound to happen someday.. Unfortunately while they managed to convey it with so much sensitivity in the initial promos, they are failing big time right now..Right from the time they started with the cheesy romance..Dev-Sona have zilch passion..And by passion, i don't want them to be all over each other..But stop making it so kiddish and cheesy..And if that were not enough, they have made Ishwari into a freaking psycho 😆 They did a great job building up the story till Dev's confession..I just don't see that same depth and intensity anymore..And am really not looking forward to see Dev crying in every alternate episode 😆

Tbh, Supriya is not my favorite 😆 I just think she is a really good actress and better than Shaheer and Erica if i might add..And I don't mind if my favorites play negative or grey characters..I cant stand the self-righteous female leads on Indian TV..My issues with the character are totally different..For one, the writers don't intend to show Ishwari as a psycho or someone who is off the rails thanks to her insecurity..The writers still expect us to sympathize with her cos she is supposed to be this mother who has struggled a lot and is overtly invested in her son and is grappling with the changes in his life..Unfortunately that is not how its coming through..Either make her a psycho and end this track with her getting therapy or write her character in such a way that viewers can still feel bad for her despite everything..Unfortunately the writers are neither here nor there..They want to write a character who is confused and doing things out of character because of her mental turmoil but what we get is a woman who is downright crazy..Which is what my issues is right now..And they are doing an equally shoddy job with Dev's character IMO..Oh well, i guess we can agree to disagree 😆

I agree. If the writers/directors can improvise scenes to bring more reality that is better but if the audience cannot connect to what they are trying to convey then it's a big failure.

Well said. I love dev sona both. But I think to show sona a strong character they are degrading dev character. If they want to balance both characters and people feel both for them and felt their pain they can show that dev and sona mutually talking and when ishwari is not happy with their relation so they will give time to her adjust in the new relation until dev will make ishwari understand and make her trust that dev is always her son and she is always is first priority. They can Show that with out butchering dev character but no they went the same famous Indian TV shows formula glorify female lead and butcher male lead. And ishwari character she is supposed to be a mother who is insecure of her son and try to adjust when her son fallen in love and cope up with the new development in her sons life. But what we are seeing a mother who can't see her son happiness and made her some kind of psycho. And sona I can understand her disappoint and hurt but I don't understand what she expect to dev do when his mother attempt suicide. She knows he loves her and because of his mother he make the decision to break up. I know it's wrong but I think at least sona will understand dev and why he did it. Seriously I lost the connection to these three characters. When break up happened people supposed to be feel bad for them and want they will stand for each other and make ishwari understand their love. Not people thinking it's better sona find another guy and dev left alone. If this show about sona strong women after a bad break up finding a perfect guy and perfect sasural then they are going right way. But if this show about dev balancing his relation between his mom and sona, ishwari journey about mother to mother In law. Sona how she balance her relation between dev and ishwari. Then they need to get their brain and together and find a track where people will connect with three characters.
