The way Zindagi ran promos of Maaye Ni should be included as a case study in how to lie by misrepresentation.
The promos with scenes edited out of context alongwith commentary having so-called facts made it appear as if Uzaifa was ill-treating his mother and was just looking for an excuse to be rid of her and send her to some old age home.

While the show is nothing like that. Uzaifa is a very sensitive soul pining for his mother's love and super possessive about her. Yes, his wife doesn't want her in the house. But why Zindagi why?

Another thing but this is related to the show itself. Do other viewers here feel Sabeena Begum is such a great khatun?
Yes, she was better than a real mom to her step kids. But she did neglect her real son. Uzaifa was ill-treated bu his step father and sent off to boarding school.

Even today the poor boy keeps getting horrifying visions of his neglected childhood. He's such a sensitive soul still and never raises his voice with his unreasonable wife either just because he knows she loves him deeply.

It's painful to have his mother in the house for him especially when she keeps going back to visit her stepkids. Yes, she's now their mother too

But don't you think that Sabeena Begum isn't such a great khatun after all? When Durrani was ill treating her son and the poor boy was sitting on the outside, forlorn and neglected, shouldn't she have left Durrani and gotten a job to look after Uzaifa?

Like Uzaifa said yesterday, he's a yateem. Is a child yateem w/o a father? In this case, it would appear so because Uzaifa only had his mother and she was busy taking care of Durrani's home. Durrani's kids still had their father but really, Uzaifa had no one.

Of course all those who call her a great khatun, just know that she was like a real mother to her stepkids. They don't know the truth about Uzaifa.

ANd today, if Uzaifa had refused to take his mum with him when Durrani divorced her, all the sycophants would've been like "oh. what an ungrateful son."

I feel Uzaifa really needs to forget about his mum, if he wants to come out of his grief. Yes, take care of her as is a child's duty but distance himself mentally.

I agree with u on some points mainly this show wasnt how it was shown in promos
Even I thought that it would be I'll treatment towards mom because she's old but this show has a different story altogether
Huzaifa really loves his mom a lot BT he's hurt and very possessive about her he's one of those who can't share his loved ones with others and about sabina begum well I.don't think she's mahaan but she's not even wrong she was forced due to circumstances. She was forced to remarry and then she took good care of her step kids but unfortunately huzaifa got neglected. I don't think Sabina had any option she's was majboor. But nevertheless I'm liking the show and plus I love the ost of the show

Maaye Ni was amazing.
It used to come on the same time slot as Humsafar and gave it stiff competition.. They were neck to neck ratings wise.
My mom and i used to watch Maaye Ni during Humsafar's ad break and vice versa 😆
I think it's season finale was the highest rated that week..
Amazing show...
