The erstwhile 'macho-man' of Bollywood Dharmendra turned 72 today.
But, notwithstanding his age, the 'Veeru' of Sholay promises to continue mesmerizing his fans, as is reflected by a string of movies he acted in recently.
Popularly known as 'Garam Dharam', the shy old man of Bollywood prefers to celebrate his birthdays privately with his family.
"Usually our family does not make much 'ho-hallah' about such events. We prefer to celebrate these in private," his proud actress-daughter Esha Deol said in New Delhi.
Esha, who wants his father's image as 'he-man' to remain forever, feels Dharmendra still has something in him that will make him remain in the industry for some more time.
"This year has proved to be very good for papa, I wish he will keep on rocking his fans," said the Dhoom star about his MP father.
The silver screen diva particularly highlighted Dharmendra's performance in recent movies like Metro , Apne and Johnny Gaddar , with a wish that he continues to be in the acting world for long.
Dharmendra tickled his fans with his appearance in 'Deewangi Deewangi' song of the recent blockbuster Om Shanti Om . The veteran actor will be back next year with Jhanu Barua directed love story Har Pall and Soni Juneja's 'Mr. Natwar Lal 2'.
On Dharmendra's earlier movies, Esha said she loves the songs picturised on him, especially 'Pal Pal Dil ke Pas tum rahti ho' of 'Blackmail'.
Dharmendra started his career in Bollywood as a romantic hero. Now his almost 50-year-old career widely ranges from action, romance to comedy and even politics.
