After Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar, buzz is that Jacqueline Fernandez has refused to be A part of Comedy Nights Bachao with Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh & Co.
Jacqueline has been going around saying that her last experience with the Bachao team was 'terrible'. "Jacqueline was extremely offended by Team Bachao's racist remarks towards her Housefull 3 colleague Lisa Haydon; she felt that a lot of Lisa's portions were edited very meanly in a way that only the 'insult' remained and not the 'comedy'. So, while she didn't stage a walkout during her Housefull 3 promotions, Jacqueline was surely in no mood to do an encore for Dishoom," says a source in the know.
Joining Jacqueline in her protest are her Dishoom co-stars -- Varun Dhawan and John Abraham.
Adds the source, "There is a very strong buzz about Dishoom and nonsensical insult is the last thing that the film's team wants."
The film's producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Rohit Dhawan did not push their cast either.
Boys, we like it when you uphold a woman's dignity and support her in issues which she feels strongly about.
It's time that the show's broadcasters Colors and producers Optimystix read the writing on the wall and stop making B-Town uncomfortable. Or, are we soon heading for all four Sundays of the month to be Live, with Bachao being pulled off?
Hrithik kicked his appearance on the first episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 9 because Colors wanted him to do Bachao as well. Buzz is, the Krrish star was not comfortable with the format, so off went the promotion of Mohenjo Daro.
On the other hand, like Jacqueline, Akshay too was extremely miffed at the way his Housefull 3 co-star Lisa had been treated.
