Gaurav Khanna's big Kanpur wedding

Kanpur born TV actor Gaurav Khanna made the best of both worlds - personal and professional - when he visited the city last week to promote his latest serial that's on-air. "I have never before visited Kanpur to promote any show of mine," says the actor, whose parents live in Civil Lines. During his visit Gaurav opened up about his career and wedding plans.
"I have visited Lucknow a number of times for promotions but never Kanpur because coming to Kanpur is a time-taking affair. But this time I requested the channel to visit Kanpur as I had to meet my parents who want me to finalise my wedding plans," says Gaurav who's been in a steady relationship with actor Akanksha Chamola of Swaragini fame.

"My parents want me to settle down and the wedding will most probably take place in November this year in Kanpur. It will be a grand affair," he informs.
Gaurav met Akanksha during an audition about a year back and what Gaurav liked most about her was that she was unaware about him being a TV actor. "We both had gone to audition for roles in a TV show and we just got talking," he said.
The actor says that initially Akanksha thought that he was also a newcomer like her. "She began to give me tips about how to give my audition. Apparently she didn't watch much TV so she didn't know that I was an actor. She explained to me the working of the TV industry. Although she found my face familiar but couldn't place me," says Gaurav with a laugh, adding, "I too played along since I was enjoying the conversation. After listening to her gyaan for a good hour or so, I finally told her that I had worked in more than 15 serials. She was very embarrassed, but then we laughed it off. In fact, I think that's how we hit it off."
