Or maybe it was the expectations with the DevAkshi scene.. which left me wanting more from the 21 minutes we are alloted.😆

The shows begins with Ishwari listing the things for Satyanarayan pooja, and Sona being her curious and caring self, asks her about it..which Ishwari decides to blatantly ignore.🥱

"Sabko sabkuch pata hota hai, bas aankhein band krke rakhte hai."

Ishwari, you need some serious introspection dear, because this exactly applies to you and not Sonakshi.

There is something very intriguing about Sona-Ishwari's relationship, the way writers have woven their interactions. . It has prospects of being the most cordial DIL-MIL jodi ever.

Ishwari is not bad at heart, just overpowered by her emotions. When she snaps at Sonakshi, it almost brought tears to Sona's eyes. .She starts walking away just then Ishwari stops her. She felt guilt of hurting her and she knew it was her own emotions triggering her behaviour.

No doubt, Ishwari still has that affection for Sonakshi. It keeps going up and down though.

You know what the best thing about Sonakshi is? Apart from her maturity? It is her ability to listen.

"Most people listen do not listen with an intent to understand, but to reply."

She listens to everyone so patiently, whether Dev or Ishwari. . Or even be Rhea,Nikki . . Sonakshi always listens them venting their feelings out, without judging them. She actually tries to understand them. Dev feels relaxed after a long day..after a casual chat with her..because she listens. To understand.

Everyone needs acceptance and approval of their thoughts.

This was the reason when Ishwari, inspite of being cold with Sonakshi, unintentionally shares her sadness regarding Dev not sitting for the hawan.

I was wondering why Ishwari was not convincing Dev enough for the pooja, and why Dev was not obeying her orders here. Got the answer today. She believes she is responsible for distancing him from his beliefs and God..and she herself doesn't want him to convince him, maybe?

Did you notice the pride in her eyes when Sona said, "Wo apko poojte hai"😕

Sona's reply was so good, but Ishwari maate deviated again when she realised that She was taking Dev's side.

About Mami, the less said..the better.

Sona knows how to knead the dough? 😲Didn't know that..😆She is genuinely trying to gel with Ishwari. Felt bad for her there.

Dev came home only to find Sona home. That little bit where he comes and Sona is waiting him, gave me hubby-wifey vibes literally.

The most awaited Head-champi. .it was way tooo sweet and Short.😆

Dev is amazed to know that Sonakshi reads his articles and keeps a track of his achievements and steps as well. That she is so interested in him. Loved that bit. As if they are still getting to know new things about each other every day. It is very necessary to avoid being stagnant.😳

When Dev said,

"Mai sirf baatein nahi karna chahta, mai to. . "

What was he trying to say there?😕 Could not register it😆.

He changed the topic there.

Then Sona convincing Dev to sit for the pooja. Don't you find this very relatable? I am a religious person myself, and quite come across atheists regularly. . It is actually quite difficult to debate on the topic whether God exists or not. Glad that Sona just wanted him to sit there and wasn't trying to change his beliefs, which is quite impossible in a day.

Answers one or two posts in the forum about the apprehension of changing Dev's beliefs.

Oh yes, we also saw a Ranveer snapping at Neha today, Neha was no where wrong. . poor girl can't even word what she feels?

It is just RV 's own guilt of not being capable enough to keep Neha happy..that is speaking there. Not his love. Hope things wont turn worse.

So we will get a Hug tomorrow, 😳and Dev coming for pooja. (Dev Sonakshi really complete each other, hope Ishwari sees that.)

Nothing else , right?

P.S. still can't get over the sbs segment.

The Ishwari/Sona conversation was quite ok except that I liked Sona's earlier more practical style of conversing with her. I used to like how earlier Ishwari would open up and Sona would listen and speak less. In fact that was her styel earlier. I suppose she converses with greater familiarity now because she feels closer to Dev's family.

About the scene with RR - less said the better. Lazy writing by creatives. There are better ways to show interactions with a difficult family member with whom confrontation is difficult but need to be handled with tact..

Sona/Dev scene - I suppose the creatives wanted to bring in the aspect of Sona being there for Dev for not just his emotional/family related issues but even to help him feel better after a hard day's work. Again here I fell the writing could have been more subtle. It is not necessary for her to alleviate his day's stress by providing an opinion on his work related situation, not very credible.

Visually the episodes do not paint a picture of an educated, sensible, hard working professional girl which was expected to be one of the differentiating factors of this show.

I like your summary of yesterday's episode, made me feel better:). However, to a new viewer unfamiliar with the story till date, this is how the episode comes across -

- girl comes to future MIL and listens to her issues
- girl cooking lunch for her employers
- girl acts foolish when she receives a phone call as though it is a rare occurrence
- girl has nothing to say (not even a light hearted sarcastic comment) when faced with a crass RR
- girl waits for bf, sends him to his room in his own house and offers refreshments in his own house
- super girl cures him of his headache and swiftly makes him feel better about a complex business decision that was written about in the media
- super girl is not done. since she has no life of her own these days or anything to share about her own life, she proceeds to try and fix yet another knotty problem faced by the hapless Dixits

I was just reflecting that in real life relationships, it is actually the woman who shares more about her day and life and seeks opinions/reassurances. The situation here is so reversed that she has no emotional needs from this relationship. I think the creatives need to put on their creative caps to restore depth to her character...

Sorry about the rant! It is a daily soap and very tough to check all the boxes. The show has been so good in so many ways that expectations are more :)

Wow, I really did not notice these things till u pointed them out about how it feels to someone who's not very familiar with the story.. I agree they need to show Sonakshi giving some time to herself instead of just being the problem solver of the Dixit household.. as you pointed out, Dev has become too dependent on Sonakshi as a problem solver.. I wish they show that Sonakshi faces a problem for a change and Dev helps her.. we get it, they want to highlight the fact that Sonakshi is desperately needed by the Dixits to get their life on track, but it would be nice to see Dev being there for Sonakshi as well.. for eg a track about her Daadi or dad or someone falling ill, sona crying and being tensed and Dev being there for her.. a relationship is all about give and take and right from the very start, Dev has been the taker so far.. would like a role reversal in the near future as well :)

I feel constantly bad for Sonakshi in almost all the scenes except the RR one.. RR crossed a line today, and Dev's gf or not, she shouldn't have taken it lying down.. I don't want Dev or Ishwari to defend sona's honour.. she can do it very well on her own.. at least that's what we thought from the intial episodes.. I hope this type of scene is not repeated in the future by the CVs..
Word to what you said here. That was the only part of the episode which didn't go well with me either. RR scene was unnecessary, I didn't understand the purpose of it at all. I hope we see a stronger Sona who defends her self respect with her head held high, without taking any help of Ishwari or Dev, she can retaliate respectfully too..She has done that before.
Coming to your doubt about the Devakshi convo, I posted this on some other thread as there was the same doubt there as well, copying it here..
Even I was confused for a moment.. But my guess would be that he was gonna say sirf aap se baat hi nai.. aapki advice/approval lena chahta tha.. like he said in yesterday's episode.. that he wants to take her approval in all matters but then stopped because he remembered his mother's words.. I think Ishwari's words have really unsettled him more than he lets on.. and he's in a dilemma coz he can't share this with Sonakshi as well, the one person with whom he can share anything, for the fear that she might get hurt by Ishwari's words..
Let's wait.. I guess the CVs might clear it up for us in the coming episodes..
I think you are right.😊 He intends to say he doesn't only want to talk, but seek her approval. But holds himself back from saying this, because then his tension about the comment Ishwari gave about Sona being an outsider would be obvious..and Sona would be hurt. So he avoided the conversation to go there, altogether.
Lovely post dear.. keep continuing your analysis!
Thanks a lot dear🤗

Yes, the nature of their conversations has changed. Ishwari noticed that too. Also, earlier Ishwari used to speak up herself and this time Sonakshi said, "Aap mujhe nahi batayenge"
Ish was surprised with the haq she said it with. I thought Ishwari would not speak up . . But she did. Sonakshi has been trying to accept Dev's family as her own. I wish we get to see this side of Dev, for Sona's family too

Totally agree. It was practically like a Senior bullying a little kid.

I think what they intended was to re-emphasize how at ease with Sonakshi, Dev is. He seeks her opinion in everything, and craves for her approval. The shine in his eyes when Sonakshi herself talked about it was very cute😳 Sonakshi was obviously not knowledgeable enough to give an opinion on his work issues, she just gave that slight moral boost that he was right in whatever he was doing.

😆😆Oh my! I never looked at it this way😲 Yeah, But I totally agree. . From the last two episodes Sonakshi has been there just to support/drool over Dev or Ishwari. She needs to have some issues of her own. She needs to vent out her feelings too.
Love is mutual, if the girl is always there for the boy. . The boy is always standing by her too.

I was just reflecting that in real life relationships, it is actually the woman who shares more about her day and life and seeks opinions/reassurances. Oh! I loved the ranting😆 It is difficult to maintain a constant standard in every single episode, Inspite of that the cvs are doing a really good job I feel👏

Lovely post Sowmya 😳 even I felt the episode moved way to quickly..

I agree that Sonakshi has always been a good listener... But in yesterday's episode there was a little bit of coaxing around that was needed from her part for Ishwari to share what was bothering her. Now that she's going to be a part of Dev's family, I can see the cvs trying to bring in that change in her character. To a certain extent it's fine but they shouldn't go over board.. In day befores episode we saw her giving that space to Dev & yesterday I felt a little amount of intrusion involved.. If Ishwari wasn't feeling guilty for snapping at her, am sure Sona would have got another doze of Ishwari's gyan. She was lucky yesterday..

The Ishwari- GKB - sona scene left a really bad taste. On their respective characters & the storyline. It was not required and it was irrelevant. (Maybe this is why I felt the episode was too short)

Waiting to see how Ranveer is going to go back to Neha & apologize for his outburst..that is if he is going to or will Neha finally share her true feelings or are we going to see a newly married couple repenting their decisions.

Also looking forward to see how Sona is going to convince Dev to sit for the hawan..let her have her say but please don't show Sona forcing down her views on him...

Thanks a lot dear😳 I think the coaxing was needed because Ishwari has already started building those walls. .She obviously knows that there is something more than professional relationship between Dev and Sonakshi . . But she is being blind towards it, as long as she can be.
I thought no amount of coaxing would open Ishwari emotionally to Sona, but surprisingly she did. But Like you said, Ishwari's guilt saved Sona. .that guilt of snapping her let her guard down for a minute or two.
As soon as Sona started speaking, she was back to her MOM self.
Exactly! The scene was absolutely irrelevant. .howsoever hard I try, it doesn't add to the story development, instead regresses it.

Neha is a strong-headed girl too. I so hope we dont see her with trars in her eyes everyday like this.
I am sure Sona won't force her views on Dev. .😳Infact, Dev thought the same that Sona was trying to force her own beliefs him, trying to change him. .He said "Aap manti hai thik hai, par mujhe kyo force kar rahi hai?"
But even I am scared that Sona is becoming borderline intrusive already. . She was good in the bicep scene with the way of putting her views..
Maybe she is taking the interest in everything because she loves Dev so much, That's how girls are, they take interest in everything😆

Soumi...🤗...
U write so beautifully dear...such wonderful analysis 👍🏼

The best part that I love about Sona is ..she does not sit and cry..she tries to make a change..and tries with all her heart...today she literally tried to jel with ishwari...though ishwari snaped at her ..though she felt like crying she just said one simple word... "I may have made some mistakes to annoy you...plz...u can tell me what did I do wrong" and that's when ishwari too felt a tinny bit bad for snapping at her...

Here ishwari too is not at fault...she has so much in her heart ...the thoughts of her mind nd heart are unable to find a proper flow...

Let's see...how ishwari and sonas relationship moves ahead...kind interested to know that as well

Sona's this silent waiting said many of her unsaid things that she might have wanted to tell.. Dev must have understood it.. He sat there to listen to her.. Seeing him tired she didn't want to bombard immediately.. Sometimes on seeing your loved ones many issues/confusions that you wanted to share would just vanish.. Being there with them at that moment makes it all go away... Just like that the past is forgotten leaving you live in the present... Be in the moment!!!!

Thank you dear😳
How beautifully you said it
Dev wanted to know how her day was, he asked her twice. But Sonakshi being who she is, wanted to destress him from his hectic day instead 😳 And in the process, she herself forgot her own worries/issues.😊
