Disgruntled on not getting tickets for Om Shanti Om, a group of people beat up the theatre owner and its manager in small town in Maharashtra - Parbhani. Shah Rukh Khan obviously had not been expecting such a deewanapan for his film.
When we caught up with the King Khan and told him about this incident, he was pleasantly surprised but at the same time concerned about those who were the victims. He told us, "I will not lie that we were expecting this and definitely not that anyone gets beaten up because of it. They have my full sympathies. Some of my trade friends told me that my film is breaking records at even small cities like these. I don't know how to react. I can tell you honestly I didn't believe the film will be liked to such an extent. I am grateful to everyone."
All shows for Sunday, November 20th were house full of OSO at Parbhani's Naresh Chitra Mandir. For the noon show a large group of people desperately wanted to see the film. When even the tickets being sold in black were not available, they enquired with the theatre owner and its manager who were standing outside the movie but when they refused they resorted to beating them up and locking them up in one room and thronging inside the cinema hall. Police was called for and those creating ruckus were immediately arrested.
