TOI:Maheck Chahal to be replaced by Sara Khan in 'Kawach'

Despite the positive feedback that Maheck Chahal's character (Manjulika) has received in the spooky TV show 'Kawach', the makers have been forced to replace the actress. Mahecktore a ligament and fractured her knee in an accident just weeks before the launch of the series. While the producers and the actress were positive that she would be able to pull it through, it has become increasingly difficult for her to cope with the demanding schedule of television. She has not been able to report to the shoot due to her injury. This development has prompted the production house to rope in Sara Khan as the new Manjulika.

Meanwhile, Maheck seems unaware of this new development. When BT contacted her, she said, "I'm not aware of this news. This show is important for me and I would have liked to continue.
