Hey there beautiful people, Even though I saw the episode as soon as it aired, I was really lazy to make a post, hence the delay. I finally completed that assigment so yay me! I would have still not made the post if i didn't love fangirling with you guys so much.
I'm going to keep this as brief as possible 'cause let's face it, I'm still feeling pretty darn lazy.
About the title, I thought this explains the high point of the episode and also, I couldn't come up with a better one.
There are some things or rather instances that stood out for me in the episode. I'll list them out for you.
1. I loved 'the talk' daadi had with Shivaay, Omkara and Rudra. She rightly pointed out that it's the time and situation that decides which of a person's traits, acts as his strength or weakness. She pointed out that for Shivaay, his biggest concern lies with his pride in his family's name and that holds utmost importance to him while for Omkara, the truth ranks on a higher pedestal than anything else.
Given what we were shown in the precap, these two factors will be the main reason for any kind of tiff between the brothers. Omkara feels the urge to address the truth about any given matter, even if that means washing his family's dirty linen in public. While, Shivaay will go to any extent to ensure that his family's name remains unscathed even if that requires the truth to be covered up.
Even though the brothers love each other dearly, this contrast in their mindsets can very well be the root cause of any problem, that may arise amidst them in the days to come.
2. Also, Shivaay was the first one to step forward towards the stage for the 'maha aarti', followed by Omkara and Rudra. I think this points out towards the idea of business being Shivaay's top priority in life. He will always be the one to lead the family forward from the business end while Omkara and Rudra will provide him with all their support. They will step in only when required. I don't think I made much sense here.
3. The brothers look hot in white or what? I couldn't take my eyes off them, not that I ever wanted to but sweet niblets!, they were perfection! Especially Omkara, that dude I love LOL.
I was wondering why they chose white outifts, a possibly reason being that they wanted us all to die. But, white does stand for new beginnings in life and considering how they were introduced to the world as the official heirs to the Oberoi empire, this is kinda sorta a new beginning for them. Did that make sense? I suck at this kind of stuff, still worth a shot.
4. Next in line is Mr Tej Oberoi. He is someone who can't bear to bow down in front of someone even for a split second that is. He wants everyone and be it, everyone to bow down in front of him. His inflated ego couldn't take the minister's arrogance and just to prove a point, he made sure the minister has to accept his superiority. Tej Oberoi can go to any goddamn extent to inflate his already inflated ego and since he wants his son to be at the top of the Oberoi empire, he is sure to try amd create rifts in the brothers'. Whether he tastes success or not, only time will tell.
5. The exhange of words between Svetlana and Jhanvi made my heart go out for the latter. She has to time and again, see her husband value the other woman over her in life. I am pretty sure that Tej married her for a personal gain and when that deal went through, he decided she was of no use to him. He refuses to acknowledge her existance in his life and she may have resorted to finding solace in alcoholism mainly due to this. There is an extent to which a person can take being humiliated and ridiculed.
6.Svetlana on the other hand has vicious and coldblooded written all over herself. I refuse to believe that she is here as just the other woman in Tej's life, just like how i refuse to believe that Shakti Oberoi is really as nice as he seems. With both these characters, there's more to it than what meets the eye. They will prove to be the dark horses of this tale.
People like Svetlana and Shakti are more dangerous than people like Tej because you never know what it is that they'll do next. Tej is what he is, without any pretense while Shakti and Svetlana, hide their true intentions from all.
7. A quick question though, that Ashok guy walks into the function and starts pouring what he called diesel on him while no one, I repeat NO one, did anything to stop him?
Strange much. At least stop the dude from lighting the fire.
So I guess that's a wrap people. Not that brief, is it? Anyhow, thank you for sticking along till the end of my jibber jabber. As a token of appreciation, Imma treat you with some cookies and milk.
