Huma Qureshi’s first look poster from Toxic has triggered strong online reactions, with many fans drawing comparisons to Hollywood aesthetics and classic gothic imagery.
The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups unveiled Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth on Sunday. The poster was shared by lead actor Yash, who captioned it, “Huma Qureshi as ELIZABETH in A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown Ups.” The visual immediately caught attention for its sombre mood and carefully constructed details.
In the poster, Huma stands inside a graveyard, appearing composed yet guarded. She is dressed in a dramatic black outfit that signals mystery rather than glamour. An angel statue positioned behind her suggests lost innocence, while a vintage car and stormy skies add to the sense of a timeless, uneasy world. The image leans heavily into mood building rather than spectacle.

One fan wrote, “Vintage queen vibes.” Another commented, “The poster stands tall at true Hollywood standards, matching the visual sophistication of international cinema.” Several others echoed similar reactions with remarks like “Hollywood stuff,” “Pure Hollywood vibes,” and “Huma the goth dark angel.” The response highlighted how strongly the visual language connected with viewers.
This reveal follows the recent unveiling of Kiara Advani’s first look as Nadia. Shared earlier by Yash, Kiara was seen in a black off shoulder gown with tears rolling down her face, suggesting emotional intensity. Since then, audiences have been waiting for Nayanthara’s first look from the film.
Directed by Geethu Mohandas, Toxic features an ensemble cast including Yash, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Nayanthara. Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair also play key roles. The film has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and will release in six languages.
Toxic is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, aligning with Ugadi. The film marks Yash’s next release after the success of KGF 2 in 2022. It will face a box office clash with Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2, led by Ranveer Singh alongside Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt. Dhurandhar recently crossed ?1,000 crore worldwide within 22 days. Industry interest around the clash remains high nationwide.
