Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were recently spotted enjoying a quiet holiday break in New York City, even as Dhurandhar continues its strong box office run.

The actor, who is currently riding high on the success of Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller, appears to have taken time off with Deepika and family members during the Christmas season. Pictures of the couple posing with fans in New York have now gone viral on social media. A fan who met the actors shared photos from the encounter online. Ranveer was seen smiling and posing comfortably with admirers, while Deepika stood beside his sister, Ritika Bhavnani. Sharing the images, the fan wrote, “Meeting this gem of a person ‘Ranveer Singh’ in NYC was a beautiful surprise and keepsake memory.”

The sighting comes as Dhurandhar continues its impressive theatrical run. Nearly four weeks after its release on December 5, the film is still attracting steady audiences. Trade figures suggest the film has crossed Rs 668 crore net in India.

With this milestone, Dhurandhar has overtaken Kalki 2898 AD, which earned Rs 646.31 crore domestically. The achievement places the film among the top ten highest grossing Indian films of all time. Industry observers note that its performance has been driven by consistent footfalls rather than only opening weekend numbers.

Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian intelligence officer sent on a dangerous mission into Pakistan to dismantle terror and crime networks based in Karachi. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan in pivotal roles.

Given the film’s success, a sequel has already been confirmed. Dhurandhar Part 2 is scheduled for release in March 2026. For now, Ranveer and Deepika’s low key New York outing offers a brief pause amid a demanding and closely watched phase in the actor’s career trajectory.
